When I first got hooked on Bullet For My Valentine, I was deep into Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace. This was also around the time that Chester Bennington of Linkin Park had a side project called Dead by Sunrise. They released one album and I think their first single was called Fire. It was a softer rock side of Chester which I loved. This music got me through a tough time in my life, and without it, I never would have would have finished writing my book. Alex, if you see this, please react to a few songs by Dead by Sunrise.

The line “Look at me now!” Actually goes out to their ex bassist, who left bfmv (at that time “Jeff Killed John”) and told them hey’ll never go big, and always suck, and ended his friendship with em. Apparently he turned into a real dickhead. When they got their record deal, they wrote this song to show they prove everyone wrong, that said they’d never make it! :)
