my interpretation of this song is: its in the drugs or addictions point of view, he watches them change and he's pulling of their wings, watching them change in a negative way "its like you never had wings, now you "feel so alive" its like addiction is taking away the life they could have had and its heart breaking. the music being so transient and mystical almost feels not real adds to the psychedelic vibes.

I'm turning 28 this year and don't get me wrong, I had a better life than most but I still never got what I truely wanted and my depression, this...sickness..has consumed me. It's too late. My spirit has been devoured by this eternal darkness 😞. I don't mean to ramble here but something about Alex made me want to express this. I cannot escape this despair but for those who can...please, cherish everything you love while you can 😔. You don't realize what you have until it's gone...
