The first time I watched this, I laughed my ass off. 😂 It was so infectious and just hilarious and so much fun but the second time I watched it I balled my eyes out. 😢

Congratulations. You just heard the greatest metal song of all time. Glad you caught on to the meaning. Somehow some people don’t. Welcome to the wonderful world of Metallica. I’m jealous. Wish it was my first time, but then I’d miss 25 years of joy.

I enjoy the most music videos that could just be jam sessions goofing off with the boys. Some of my favorite memories are exactly those. This is the definition to me.

It's a very nice song! I first and foremost learned to like the original heavy songs from the late 60's through the 70's. Then Iron Maiden and the likes. Lots of fun! The 90's were mostly boring, aggression instead of melody, but I learned to like parts of it, as there was little else to listen to at the time... Since then there's been very little to distinguish the now very multiple branches of heavier rock. I like Opeth (backwards as I only learned to like their non-growling stuff first), Orange Goblin for waking me up in the late 90's and onwards, and Abney Park for making me realize that I still love old-timey music merged with a new heavier sound! With Ghost, my first listening was on a KZbin playlist with many other artists playing so-called Steam Punk music. I think that must have been 'Dance Macabre' from their third album. Now, I realize that very many heavy rock fans dislike Ghost for whatever reasons, but I love Prog Rock, Heavy Rock/Metal, Symphonic Rock and even classic Rock (Steppenwolf 7!). But the very fact that I discovered Ghost as a (so called) Steam Punk 'band' was how I learned to love that they could play 'heavy' music (almost Nightwish'ish) with a normal (and good!) sounding singer who neither growled nor screamed! It's all a show, and the singer and the musicians are all part of the show, so just relax and enjoy! Don't look for insults to anything, when none are actually offered.

First time I heard tool, it was the song Sweat. I didn't like it, it wasn't what I was expecting and I thought it was a shit band. They've been my favorite band since about 98' now.

Believe it or not, Metallica was not the "Main Show" for that night, or not supposed to be. I know I'm late to the reaction but in somewhere close to 2024, the band had an interview with a show, and they revealed that they were surprised by the crowd's reaction, and that the choppers flying over the crowd was intended to be a warning to the crowd. Yet it just seemed to fuel the flames. Epic concert.

That is the concert Eddie played Slow Lukin with a string quartet. It was the final show of the East Coast leg of the 2010 tour and the boys brought high energy that night. A truly historic show!
