As a writer and graphic and graphic designer, I have a collection with dates of when I have posted chapters and finished a graphic. For everyday collections: videogames to play, inspiring movie quotes, eco-friendly swaps, and some self-care spreads.

I only started using a bujo in January 2020, and so far I have these collections: future log, 2020 intentions, recurring charges (monthly/quarterly/yearly), subscriptions (paid programs/email lists), classes I am taking, books I want to read, things I want to buy/things I need to buy, things I have bought and am waiting to have delivered, ideas I have for a creative project, friends I want to keep in touch with, tarot cards I pull for myself each month and week, and a master to do list (stuff not yet appropriate for adding to my rolling weekly to do list). BTW you mentioned (at 2:43) a video you made about another kind of future log, and I think you meant to add a clickable link to it up in the right hand corner. Maybe you could add it to the video description? I’d love to watch that one too. Thanks for all the helpful videos!

The collections I have are "something good everyday" notes, mastery grocery list, people I've met, season favourites, songs to learn, "no brainer" packing list, and "breakfast made easy" ideas.

I’m not sure if it is a collection but I call it that. One page collection for leaving home for flight. One page for coming home. Mostly I have to check the same things in bag and shut doors and take out rubbish etc. Then this week I just made a list of the numbers on Daily page and crossed them off. Made day about hour quicker than thinking that list from scratch every time!

Hey Matt, thank you. Will you be doing a video for the basics series that's about "threading"? Just started recently implementing the feature into my bullet journal for some collections or ideas but it can get a little tricky trying to get the hand of it. Thx again

HI Mat.. thank you for all the breakdowns and video's.. they are helpful and great...just brought my first bullet journey ( trail quartley Period) and miniature Feild daily journey.. just to get a better understanding of a collections book. One of my biggest Goals more a 5 year plan and I've got a 8-10 year plan.. I have in my head is to build a house.. Would bigger Goals like this. Given it's a longer period.. would you have this in it's own collection book but references it in your BUJO during the years? For ideas.. brainstorms/pictures..notes.

My brain says make book reading events. Should my book reading increase significantly then I'd make a collection. Not saying either is correct just hopefully adding to the discussion.
