Heyy, I'm high school student and I really don't have enough time to do bullet journaling but I really want to take it up this year to keep myself organised. So, could you do a bullet journaling for students in 10 mins kinda video plssss💜💜 P.S - I really love your videos.

The original bullet journal method by Ryder Carroll is quite simple. Everyone has time for it..you may not have time for an art journal. Check out the Bullet Journal's KZbin page.

It takes me around 45-1hr to make monthly spreads, and probably under 30 minutes to make the weekly one. It for me that's a time to destress and listen to music so I don't view it as a chore- I actually get really sad when I'm so busy that I have to delay it (like my May setup right now haha)

I like these minimal spreads because even though I'm creative I put that creativity into my painting and it can be overwhelming having so many outlets. Love that we're all different :)

Me, too! But I've been so stubborn about modifying for when I don't have time. I won't do it at all of i cant do it "my way," and then it doesn't get done at all. Before I know it, my schedule is all over the place. But I definitely prefer to use it as a distress period
@elenagibbons47195 жыл бұрын
Me too! I’m starting to do it again for/in 2019 and I want to spend some time doing it to get me off me phone, for a hobby, and just to be more creative with it! But this video was helpful for page inspirations and just ways to make it simple
@katie15447 жыл бұрын
I only take 5-10 minutes each week to prep my bujo. BUT I take close to two hours to make my spread (month at a glance, goals for the month, expenses, habit&modd trackers) at the beginning of the month.

I think the great thing about this is that you can start with a simple, ten-minute layout like this, then if you want to spend lots of time embellishing it with Tombows, doodles, and washi tape, you can! It gives a great starting point. Thanks for the excellent tutorial!

I really loved this video! I feel like I have a lot of trouble with sticking to my bullet journal because I get incredibly wrapped up in the design. I'm going to challenge myself to make my pages for this month in under 15 minutes.
@AnjaAune7 жыл бұрын
I like this a lot! I usually spend a lot of time on my bullet journal when I can, because I find it therapeutic and relaxing. I like this tho for when I don't have as much time. Another quick tip / add on if you want some colour is just to grab a colour pencil or a pen in a different colour to ad a little something.
@nathalyruiz89537 жыл бұрын
I know it's not exactly bullet journaling because there's not as much freedom to add or take away, but I found a cute planner with a notes space at the beginning of the month that I use for a monthly spread (it already has a month calendar) and I just decorate that and other parts of the week as I go. for a weekly to do list I either insert a note card or a large sticky note. it makes it really easy to have something cute and functional without spending so much time on preparation. when starting a month it takes me less than ten minutes or less than five if I don't have much planned yet.

my bujo is very simple. I have noticed that I don't use weeklys. So I prepare my month at a glance ahead of time (5 minutes) and then have my dailies with a simple header. I don't prepare those but just put my header on top in the morning and then jot my to-do down. That normally takes me around 3 minutes. :) Apart from that I have my collections and normally I only start them if I feel like doodeling and designing stuff in my bujo. I love this system and have been using it with little variation for nine months now :)
@sarahawkins22455 жыл бұрын
This is exactly what I do too.
@mysummertouch6 жыл бұрын
I believe Ryder Carol spent less than a minute to prep his bujo for a new month. Left page: dates, right page-todos. Next page after that was the date of a today. That’s all
@elenagibbons47195 жыл бұрын
mysummertouch indeed. It wasn’t created to be so... time consuming and art filled. I enjoy giving mine some color but all the ones on Instagram and such are just very over the top and of course if they like it it’s fine, but it creates a bit of a false reality.

I haven't been journaling for long (it's been six months!) but usually I just do my weekly spread when i have 5 minutes of free time in class, and maybe add a quote sometime throughout the week. If I decide to do something other than my usual month at a glance, small quote, and goals it can take me two hours for the month, but usually i just spend 45 minutes, sometimes over the course of two days as i am somewhat busy, but journaling is therapeutic and de-stressing. I do think i will add a quick tracker because it would be nice to see how i feel and what i do at the end of the month

I color mine up a bit. If I could draw I would. If i want some pictures i just print some but as of right now i colored it up just a bit with my dual brush pens.i also keep my trackers simple. Just write out the date and literally write my moods in a list style. I have not wanted to do this for so long because everyone's is so complex and gives me anxiety. Outlining my journal for a few days helped the fear of messing up. I love that I actually started to do it and there's something very prideful in creating your own no matter how simple. I spend a few minutes multiple times a day bullet journaling. When I first created my journal is took me hours just because I was thinking so much about it. Going forward when creating new monthly and weekly spreads as I get more comfortable with my layout I don't think it will take long. Even if it does it's a very relaxing way to spend your time.
@heyitsme20577 жыл бұрын
My bullet journal routine: During the summer I do daily spreads and I just do whatever I want because I have lots of time, so I add a ton of random pages with poetry, I doodle, i journal about my day, etc.. During the school year I do minimalist weekly spreads only and I just use Crayola markers to make it colorful. I habit and mood track year round. I make my new weekly spreads every Friday or Saturday. I make my new monthly's a day or two before the first day of the month.
@maiafelidae7 жыл бұрын
Caitlin, that was a great idea for a video with a timer. I would just like to add that despite having little time to set up your month you can always come back to add a doodle, washi, stickers or even a magazine clip, which is what I do. In my daily planning, I always use an extra min or two to make a little drawing or grab an embellishment from my gold bowl of cutie. lol ☺

I take like 5 minutes everyday to complete my habits tracker and mark the thing I did during the day as done, I always leave a place after the daily things to do (in my weekly spread) just to say a few words about some things that happened that day. And I take something like 30 minutes to do my weekly spread :) The daily-time I spent doing my bujo depends on how I feel actually. Some days I'll just want to do a lot of pages and move forward in my journal and some days I just write down two words and that's it. But I'll say that I spent 2 hours/week on my bullet journal. It take at lot longer to do the monthly spread, something like 1 hour maybe. I'm a beginner so I'm still amazed about how useless this journal is and I'm so motivate to write down lots of things. (I do my bujo for a bit less than a month now)

I'm on my 4th journal and not because I'm filling them up. Im still confused with everything about bullet journaling. I see so many journals by users who are artistic or the fonts are perfect or just everything. Mine don't flow right (at least not to me). I don't have a very busy life, I just go to work and home but I still want to bullet journal. I've even tried to journal for work to stay on task at work. An absolute mess. And there aren't any videos to help with that that I've found. I did enjoy this video however. Very cut dry and simple. May give this one a try. Kind of tired of wasting money.

Well that's the great thing about a bullet journal, you have the freedom to do it anyway you want to make it work for you. maybe other people's styles just doesn't work for your way of thinking we're doing things so just take what you've seen so far as inspiration and just think of what you need and just do that. Hope this helps good luck keep trying you'll get it eventually! 🤍
