soldier H --- Thanks for posting the video. I just recommended "Corbin" company to a guy on a Facebook reloading page after he made a weird/strange "bullet" that jammed up his cylinder of his gun. I have seen Corbin products / ads for decades now in gun and shooting magazines, so I suggested he contact them or "Magma" in Arizona or look for some C-H swage dies from C-H/4D dies in Ohio. I have seen/read the Corbin die/press ads for many years now in magazines, wherein Mr. Corbin says how easy it is to make your own bullets. This video demonstrates that it is NOT easy. Can't speak for anyone else, but I do not own a micrometer and especially not one that does "Ten-Thousands" measurements. I can change my spark plugs, change oil & filter and have changed flat tires. Have worked on a couple of home remodel/construction crews in the past, and have reloaded ammo at home,,,,, but the process in the video is downright confusing/tedious. I have also taught Sunday School classes for K to Adult ages, and I always used a chalkboard to "show & tell". In the military I have taught some classes also and used the show and tell and do method. One step at a time, not running everything together. The people learned stuff from me. The man in the video needed to start with a chalkboard or dry erase board and/or a bunch of photos of the parts and pieces taped to a wooden sheet board. Corbin company needs to do the video over. First showing all the basic parts such as lead for the cores, copper jackets (or copper sheets turned into jackets, (cups). Then the various parts of the press and the dies/punches. Then show how to do it. As for me,,, I think I will buy ready-made bullets. NOTE: I just found a good video about the topic. It is by "Ammosmith Reloading" and I'm watching Part 1. He is doing the "Show and Tell" method properly starting off with the dies and showing .22 rimfire empty brass. Yay! 🙂

Hey, thanks for the comment, tbh swaging isn't that hard, especially from 22lr, way I figure it, if a 300blk can make it out the barrel of a BOLT ACTION 223/556 then how much does a few thou actually matter for safety, Don't get me wrong, I'm Very particular about what I'll load and shoot, it's serious stuff, but for the sake of 2-5 ten thousandths, it's not a problem, I have made my own dies and I'm in the process of making a full set, as time and passion allow.

Good video. I knew when he was core seating he meant .3078 instead of what he spoke .3088 which would be oversized and after he finished point forming he said "right at 308 while core seated was couple ten thousands under".

Soldier H, thanks for putting this video up. I have not seen any videos on the Corbin website. The press and some of the swaging punches appear to be a later model than I have.

Thanks, the Corbin website at best is very difficult to navigate, I'm not even sure I could find this video again tbh There are a few models of gear & this video looks to be at minimum 15-20 years old, However the set used in this video is itself out dated, and they have since moved onto a press that doesn't have a notched ejection pin, but rather a "through hole" in it. This gear is closer to the older SAS stuff but even then is an improvement on that.

Great video , thank you. Question... where do you buy your Pb rod? Thanks again.

Hey, for pb rod, you can buy wire, or make a core mild and pour them like bullets, and swage to final weight For me I melt recycled pb and then make cores from there.

well... pal... sorry, but: 1. bad color... all, really - gray... 2. the movie is too long, and the episodes, when you show the results, is - too short... 3. just bad focus...

Tbh mate, if you bothered to read the comment, then, #1 not my original video, #2 filmed probably 30 years ago, and #4 take what info you can from the resource
