In the update a number of aircraft with radar rangefinders (SPECIFICALLY rangefinders), got lead indicators in air rb for third person.

Which ones specifically? None of the new planes have that in 3rd person. Im still trying to learn the mig29 from cockpit view

Right now, the F-16 is overcompressing a little bit at the speeds it compresses in real life, it'd still compress but rn its pretty hard. The data/manuals have been passed to the devs so they'll tweak it in the near future. At lower speeds though its really good.

Great video! In general the f16 is actually veru good in dogfight and will outturn basically everyone except the mirage (in the 2 circle). Aeroturtle tested that already.

Mirage got its rip speed increased to around 1500kmh ias, goning to be even more potent now.

I for one still enjoy seeing you put your skills on display. If it was the same plane you were fighting every clip, or killing it with a Magic when they didn't see you to begin with, it would probably get boring, but these were nice to watch. Now that they buffed the top speed on the Mirage you might get even more enjoyment out of it. It's still "slow" compared to some other top of the line jets, but 1440kph IAS is a lot better than 1360.

I didn’t know they’d officially changed the top speed, but I had noticed it pushing Mach 1.2 on the deck which was definitely better than it was.

You can turn rewards of in options also the income is the base reward before your vehicle modifiers are applied, win loss, etc are calculated on top. 1000sl reward could actually be 7000 or more for eg.

People just dont know how to fly the F16, its simple as that. Ive had plenty of good dogfights in the f16 and out rated these planes, with competent pilots also. If you fly the f16 around 700-820 kph and hold the 9g its meant to, itll out rate anything. then when youre ready to pull the nose around, the sacrifice speed to pull them into the hud is around 650kph. edit: too add this, people have been complaining ab the f16s g limiter.... TBH id rather have it perform the way it does now, instead of 14 g and losing all airspeed.

I’m looking forward to getting it so I can see for myself, it’s often the case that people just don’t know what they’re doing. The number of people who play this game without actually knowing anything about planes or tanks boggles my mind, I’d have no reason to be here if I didn’t already have an interest in the vehicles.

I'm new to SIM. been playing since Beta 2012~ or a bit before loving the change of pacve from RB all these years. I think ill only be playing SIM now after I unlock what ever the new jet is that comes out. already got both f16 Amreica*, and mig29. The F4J with HMD is really nice to fly also! love that jet

Just be careful with the economy, you’ve not chosen the best time - I’ve been in sim for probably the last 4/5 years after also joining WarThunder in 2012 and Sim is a tough place to make SL/RP gains.

They should add flare pods and external fuel tanks for jets that don't have them in-game (but do irl) if they want them to hold up with higher BRs.

I don’t think external tanks are really needed for the map sizes in WarThunder, but it’s nice to have them for aesthetics and cinematics. Agree on the flare pod point though, there have been some recent sim bracket changes meaning the 10.3-11.3 aircraft don’t get forced to fight Vipers and Fulcrums anymore, which helped negate as much need for countermeasure pods, but they’d definitely still be nice to have.

mig 29 is fantastic in sim... except for its massive lack of aoa with full deflection. it feels like the f16 can point its nose easier at low speed than the fulcrum

I think we’re a good chunk of time from seeing the Typhoon based on it taking 3 years to go from aircraft of the 50s to the mid 70s, Typhoon is a 90s/00s jet so probably another good ~3 years off - if they even add it at all.

I will just say that I've flown the F-4E and F-4C in sim recently and teamkilled quite a few people because the radar shows them as foe. I can see an enemy on radar, wait, and ping them again, still an enemy. On the third or fourth sweep of the radar it's suddenly a friendly. Really silly on Gaijin's part. I pretty much always know I've fired at a friendly if the sparrow comes off the rail first try and immediately tracks. Teamkills are basically guaranteed kills. If I fire at an enemy, I have to lock them up twice (at least) and then the sparrow normally goes dumb. IDK if it's intentional or not, but the missiles work when you're accidentally teamkilling, and don't if you're intentionally firing at an enemy. Has cost me quite a bit of SL in the game mode that's supposed to be good for grinding. They have really obliterated the economy for sim players.

It’s not an off or on thing, it’s just there, but works better with a radar lock.

It takes some getting used to for sure, experimenting with the pitch settings is my best recommendation. My hardware is in the video description.

I turned off the award notifications in battle for all game modes personally just because I found them distracting.
