It's a cool idea. I've seen others do leather jackets etc. I decided it's not practical for me because I don't spend enough time in a full jacket even in winter to make it worthwhile. I keep a heavy coat in the car in case of breakdowns or situations where I might be outside for longer stretches, but 99% of the time even in single digit weather, I'm wearing only a fleece, or on drives of more than a few minutes, just a shirt. To really make full use of the armor function, I'd have to keep this jacket on and zipped up everywhere.

Many people are just like you. Just don't wear coats or jackets around that often. Totally get it. This wouldn't be the product for them.

This is neat. The only concern that I see that may arise is that thin nylon sheath that the armor sits in on the right side of the chest may unravel over time or develop a hole. Definitely considering ordering this jacket!

We have those too. But some people don’t like wearing a shirt like that all day long. They’d rather have it in their jacket and take the jacket off when the get to work or wherever and be comfortable all day long. Personal preference.
