the chain means that you're suffering desync, when this happens you might experience quite a bit of lag but it will usually clear up shortly. Yellow is minor, red is worse, not sure about broken and unbroken

Hey, tip for new comers to DayZ, DONT TRUST ANYONE unless you are playing with a good friend. I was playing with these people that i met on twitch and we had played DayZ for 5 hours yesterday and today we met in Berizino or how ever you spell it, anyway, today we met together in the school house near the lumber mill and one of them said that they had to end the call for some reason than about 20 sec later the other one shot me and took my stuff. so DONT TRUST ANYONE IN DAYZ THAT YOU DONT KNOW WELL

***** MP5 is like a BB gun. Its so dang weak. Try getting killed by hackers. My friend and I had like the best stuff in the game for clothes and stuff, and mosins for weapons. I was camping ME airfield with my friend, and out of nowhere, I guy starts teleporting everywhere, so we logged off, came back in another server, and were fresh spawns. I stopped playing the game for like 2 weeks after that/ because I was tired of the shit that goes on in that game.

its not a glitch at all when u get a red chain lol they removed that red chain icon but you can still you see it in the playerlist if you got a desync with some people they mostly in a range of 1km or less

They're not fixing it. They're just removing the crossed red-chain indicator icon from displaying. From my experience in Experimental, you can still pull up the player list like before.
