This band in my opinion is on par if not better than most rock bands out there like avenged sevenfold. My dad got avenged sevenfold tickets just to see bullets and octane who were opening for them at the time. Bullets and Octane is the reason why I strive to be in a professional band when I grow up. No One Gets Out Alive featuring Steve Stevens Firstly what a scoop getting Steve Stevens of Billy Idol fame to play on a song. To be honest I can’t believe I’m reviewing a song that Steve might read too. Anyway, you know it’s going to be good before the 1st note is even played and will be rocking and as catchy as fuck too. From the opening sequence of the video, you can see the pure joy and excitement in Gene Louis’s face and it’s all going upwards with the La La vocals before the band really kicks in. The three guitar attack works perfectly but not as heavy sounding as you would expect but that’s down to a great production. The band let Steve rip as he makes full use of his time and excellent guitar work on the solo break. The sound is Bullets and Octane, singalong, catchy, rocking and with an urgency and excitement about it. Can’t quite put my finger on it, but it’s B&O with a more modern sound to it. But then again B&O have continued to surprise with every new song released over the last 12 months or more. Even when you think there are no more songs left to put on hopefully a forthcoming album, another great one gets squeezed out that seems better than the previous one! The video is minimalist with the band in a near empty room and having fun. The band along with Steve looking every bit the rockstars with leather n silver chains, posing and having fun. Catchy as fuck, with a tune that again will be stuck in your head long after you have stopped playing it.
