Great review. All the Howa's ive owned shot sub moa with good ammo. They do shoot best after they are worn in though.

I checked the rifle in a gun shop in Auckland and looks like the barrel is not free floating. Planning to move to a carbon barrel with precision stock
@highcountryoutdoor2 жыл бұрын
Not a bad review! Did you free float the barrel before this test and or have you hand loaded any ammunition for the gun to see if groups improved? I suspect one could drastically improve accuracy with the rifle with those two combinations! Any luck hunting with it last fall? Thanks for the solid content!

Shot some pronghorn with it and some deer this last fall

I have not used handloads in it but it shoots about .5moa with hornady 143 eldx

Thanks for a Great Review. - Howa's are the Most Rifle money can buy, .... although carbon barrels are definitely NOT for me, especially for more money - No Thanks, that said, there is plenty of market for it, so ya,....go for it Howa.

How’s the grip on the carbon fiber stick? I’m waiting for the TX3 Superlite in 7mm-08 to come back in stock. I might take another look at Howa. Thanks for making the video.

Both are good rifles. The Howa Elevate looks cool and is made slightly better but tikka action feels smoother

Did you sand down the stock to free float the barrel?
@Bullets4Bucks Жыл бұрын
No
@ArpexOfficial Жыл бұрын
@@Bullets4Bucks I called Howa USA Legacy Sports International and they said that the carbon elevate isn’t supposed to be free floated out of the box. I didn’t shoot mine out of the box, I sanded it down to free float it and to accommodate the Timney trigger. I shot it yesterday for the first time with handloads and it shot under 1 moa using RL 26 powder and Badlands precision bulldozers 125gr. It will definitely be under .5 moa when I get it all dialed in. I went from 56 gr up to 57.6 in .4 increments. I should have tested it out before I sanded it to see the difference 🤔

What was the weight of the tested rifle without your scope and brake on it? My understanding of the super light weight stated is not the 6.5 creedmoor.
@Bullets4Bucks3 жыл бұрын
I cannot remember however you are correct its not the mini action advertised weight
@1911-d2p3 жыл бұрын
Did you weigh the rifle before you put the scope on it? I know they list the starting weight for the mini actions but I didn't see an advertised weight for the other calibers. Thank you.

Thanks for your review been comparing lots of light rifles this seems to have what I'm looking for, light n simple overall and finding price just above savage light; I already have ruger american go wild in 6.5 but its slightly nose heavy with its plastic stock, how does this seem for balance? Which scope are you running?

Balance is good but short and long action is much heavier than mini. Still lite though. Im running a vortex razor lht but the leupold vx 5 hd is nice also
