Tip for anyone replacing it: The socket is a 24mm or 15/16, might want to get a deep socket to fit the sensor and make it easier to bolt back to the car... since you won’t (necessarily) be able to see that good, be careful not to break the new one. Don’t over tighten it

Dude why won't my 24 even fit cause coolant line at all I've tried and it even looks like this man's accord is slightly different as I don't seem to have as much room w my wrench at all and I'm also trying swivels and I have a 24 mm impact will not go in cause coolant pipe is directly in the way

1:22 I made the same mistake with the price difference for my 2000 prelude. I believe the sensors are different for the OBD1 and OBD2 computers. I bought one that’s “supposed” to fit the H22Z1 that I have, the threads are fine but the electrical connector is a newer model with a round connector whereas my oem one is a green square one like this. The wrong sensor cost me $280aud whereas the right one cost me $35aud off eBay. Dunno why they changed the sensor as it’s literally exact same design and works the same way just with a different connector

Hey man I'm having trouble with my 00' Accord LX 4 cyl. Occasionally when I come to a stop at the end of my brake depression i'll get popping sound and feel it in the peddle and my RPM will drop super low like my cars going to die until I start driving again. It comes and goes and most of the time I can brake normal and the idles fine. I've cleaned my EGR, IAC and replaced my TPS, changed my brake pads, spark plugs and cords and I still can't figure it out. Any ideas?

Hello I have a 97 prelude h22. When I look up the part it gives me a similar knock sensor as you have there also says it will fit the same year accord in your description. The one on the motor it looks to be the wide band type. The size of the screw in part is fater than the one in the block. Also when I have gone the the junkyard to pull another on they are all wide band type. When I plug in my ecu it says knock sensor not detected. So I'm not sure if the frequency is being picked up. Can you help. I have continuity in the wire.

The only way to fix a bad knock sensor is to replace it. You or your mechanic should test the sensor before declaring that it’s the problem. This is done by attaching a gauge, such as an oscilloscope, to the wire that runs from the knock sensor to the car’s computer. When it’s working, the sensor produces a steady voltage - simulating engine knock by tapping lightly on or near the sensor should cause its output to fluctuate.

I hooked up a dmm to the know sensor and checked it . It did produce voltage when knocking next to it. I swallow the motor in my car from a 96 single cam 2.2 to dual cam 2.2 , When I run my stock ecu the knock sensor is detected, when I run the new motor ecu its isn't detected, I ran a wire directly to the pin on the ecu from the knock still the same. Any Ideas? That's why I asked if band width would make a difference

Just replace new knock sensor. Drove around for a bit. Check engine light came back on with same code. Any suggestions what to check / fix next. Would like to eliminate the check engine light if possible.

chiquilin por casualidad no tendrás el sensor que desmontaste guardado para que me lo vendas? saludos!! los que venden no son iguales internamente, tienen es un cablesito pegado a un tornillo y da lecturas erradas a la ECU a la final son muchos dolores de cabeza, en mi país (Venezuela) no he podido encontrar ninguno que sea internamente como ese, todos los que he comprado no funcionan bien y sigue arrojando código de falla knock sensor, el cableado está perfecto son los sensores que no sirven. saludos!!

I got my timing belt, water pump, alternator, and power steering pump replaced today. When I went to pick up the car it had a check engine light and when I scanned the code it said p0325 (knock sensor). Never had that code before I took it to the shop to replace all those parts. When you use a cheap one I think the light is gonna come back on because I bought i cheap one and the p0325 came on again, so I bought a one from Napa and that was 90$ dollars and the light still came on I think you would have to buy a OEM spec knocksensor because I tried 3 different knock sensors

Tyler Lalman a lot of the time the knock sensor isn’t only the issue. It is something along the way in the system causing the light to pop up on your dash. The engine only has a certain amount of service lights that could go off and sometimes it’s something near the knock sensor that’s wrong but the knock sensor light or code will go off because there’s not another code for that other issue. So a mechanic has to properly diagnose the system not only the knock sensor

Its 24mm needed for a socket and that inch ratchet you have is 25.4mm which is why it was loose. You said 1 inch-75 which makes no sense as the inch part is always put as a fraction with the denominator as a power of 2, like 1/2, 3/4, 5/8, 3/16 etc.

sure there's comments telling WHY the price difference, but here you go: the CHEAP ones are the rejects of the testing process, or the "barely pass" ones. the more expensive sensors, of any kind, ussually only $20 or $30 more, not $100, are the sensors that passed all tests at the factory. anyway, auto mechanics explained it allot better in many Amazon review comments that i read. but! you all get the gist! DO NOT BUY CHEAP "ten dollar" sensors for your cars! VERY OFTEN they will be dead, will fail, or will NOT be working PROPERLY. when it comes to sensors and little control electronics things, find the higher priced ones, read comments, make sure - they are tiny parts, but they can CONTROL you engine in many cases. big things come in small packages, as the saying goes. alright!@ peace! i'm out! Yes replace the knock sensor but your problem for the car not starting is something else, your problem is the distribuidor that is bad, timing belt or fuel pump, check those parts

SO, research and prepare longer than you think, read forums, learn about what you're going to work on. .............and Solano, we expect a higher standard from you....installing a "shady" $10 reject sensor....mmmmm....not good.
