It's a pretty effective technique but another way is to not set the hook, but reel in the frog while the other frog holds on and have a net ready.

😂😂 I’m 51 and used to catch bullfrogs on almost anything! Dangle your bait off a branch and it’s on!!! My favorite bait was a hula popper..drove the frogs crazy in my pond!

BACKYARD POND SUGGESTION: build a creek from the highest point on your property so every time it rains it will all drain into the pond. you could also install rain barrels on your gutters which you could also drain into the pond

My state is ridiculous, it's illegal for us to collect rainwater to use for the garden or anything 🤦. If he did the creek or even a couple of them it would work great. If he follows the lay of the land and did it properly it would flush bugs and nutrients into the pond 👍

Old school way to catch bullfrogs that I was taught 30 years ago is a treble hook and a piece of bright red fabric... Not sure why, but the color red pisses off the frogs something fierce. Definitely worth a try 🤙🐸 #Sheeeew!!!

Have you tried the garlic oil lick tubs? While many other fly control options on the market are designed to kill flies or interfere with their growth cycle, garlic simply repels flies. When cattle ingest these strong-smelling compounds, the unappealing odor comes out through their sweat glands and naturally repels files, who don't like the smell.

You should get the animals one of those scratchers, to help with shedding and the fly bites. They make big ones that screw into the ground, or small ones you can attach to a tree or post.

Hey love your vids always a good time. I found out if you trim the tails on the frog it gives them less to grab farther back so theres a bigger chance of grabbing a hook. Also the small frog lure that has legs instead of a tail works great. Miss those days

Flair, me and my boyfriend fish for frogs quite often when we go out to fish for bluegills. Try using a hook with a worm on it! They bite the hook and you get easier catches without them coming off. Definitely easier then using a frog.

I don't know about those Nebraska bullfrogs, but here in Kansas, you can literally put a small leaf on a hook and the bullfrogs will hit it 100% of the time!

Backyard pond concern: Did your well guy account for the water pressure in the pond when determining the depth to put the waterline in? Once your pipe becomes submerged there becomes a back pressure from the water in the pond. With the low flow rate from your pipe you may find yourself unable to fill the pond not because of time constraints but because of the back pressure being greater than the pressure provided by the water in the pipe. There’s a few different phenomena at play to consider but you can use the diameter of the pipe and the flow rate to determine the pressure in the pipe, which can be compared to the pressure that will be provided by the pond water according to Archimedes principle (pressure is linearly related to depth). If pond pressure exceeds pipe pressure water flows back into your well. In reality what would happen is the pond would fill normally until the water reaches the pipe. Then when the water level goes over the pipe level the filling will slow down, eventually stopping at a point where the pipe pressure and pond pressure are equal. That point is called equilibrium and will vary an insignificant amount compared to pond size depending on ambient pressure, temperature, and other factors.
