For those who wants to remind this highly acclaimed (and classic) amusement park managing game that was Theme Park developed by Bullfrog Productions, Ltd. but published by Electronic Arts, Inc. in 1994.

Those 3d graphics were simply mind blowing for a game of its time. This game made my childhood.

Good news: most of the team and voice actors at Bullfrog Productions left and formed a new company called Two Point Studios. They currently released the spiritual successor to Theme Hospital called Two Point Hospital; which is pretty much the same. Even has the same lady speaking on the intercom. If the game does well (so far it has) they might make a theme park, dungeon keeper and theme park world successor too!

Golden age of gaming back then. EA approved Theme Park these days would be loot boxes with skins and other cosmetic items you can use based on common, uncommon and rare boxes. Also DLC's to buy different attractions, beverage stands etc ofc.

+Mikkozzu Yes! :^) Here's a tip, if you intend to play again! When you don't have a lot of money, (so when building your first park) don't aim to have science at its fullest speed at first... No aim to have the most people as possible in your park, so enlarge your BUS, reduce the price of everything... Once you have a lot of people, you can gradually increase price and spend more money in science. So you'll be able to take expension and don't forget to buy out competitor to keep the lead. Once you've done with your first park, sell it and open another, now that you're full of money, you'll be able to build your park, the way you was willing at first! :)

I wasn't very good either, I kinda wanna try it again now that I see this vid. These games weren't easy at all, I used to play them pirated, friend of my brother was my games 'dealer' but I had therefore no manuals and also some games were in english which was very difficult for me back then. Do you know the oldschool pizza connection btw? that was a fun one too but also pretty hard back then. Those two and xcom ufo enemy unkwon were my favorites. Good ol times!

So much nostalgia. I think the first country is the hardest. After you have a capital, the game becomes super easy. Just research a lot of rides at first and sell the park before you start losing money. Egypt is the next hardest since the rides cost increase dramatically after a few years (10,000 for a bouncy castle instead of 500). Sell the park before you go into the negatives.

+MetallSwede Here's some tips! Don't max science at start, in the science do aim to enlarge bus... So you can reduce your ticket price and have more money because more people gonna come. Borrow the less as possible!

+Nap'n'Retrogaming Allright .. played it again just now, and .... I JUST DON'T GET IT!!! I can never catch a break in this game. Why do I always end up losing money?? I line up all shops at the entrance so the visitors have to pass them by, I keep the shops fully stocked, i maintin a good balance of admission fee for every ride i place, first thing I do before placing anything is researching (but not spending any more than 3000ish on research alone, which is well below half of the research bar) and to cancel the loan immediately so as not to become too deeply indebted. STILL, for some stupid unexplained reason, the park always ends up spending a little more than the takings... and then comes the first real creative and fun part with the rubber tubing and I, of course, always make it so awesome that I can't place the entrance without taking out a loan. And so I have to, and suddenly, a park that used to simply lose a little money each year now is indebted so much that I can't do ANYTHING! Its always the same. Always. I hate this game. I want to be able to play it, but it just doesn't work. :O

+MetallSwede And also, take in consideration that like in real life, to be profitable, you must have an hand on the competitor... So take some share when they are valued up, just sell back, so you'll be able to finance your park and attract more customer... But once again the most important thing to do to have a ton of people in your park is to enlarge bus and reduce ticket price. On the long run it gonna be more profitable... Also, as long you're not a big park, be sure to not put DRINK or FOOD shop... Only have balloon and fair games shop, so you won't have to hire a handyman and won't have to buy supply for the commerce, which mean more economy so more space in your budget to expand.

Always put the shops at the front get some money then a few rides more shops etc.. i used to use the chance side shows as high payout high play ammount and like 1% winning chance they still came made loads and payout was so rare it did not matter. lol

Yes this is a good tactic. Another is to place a shop between the red steps off from one of the rides, either way the customers can't avoid it.

Diskette version is know to have natively many bugs that the CD version doesn't have... It's maybe the transistion by removing animation they removed some others lines too.

Not sure what your question is really about, but this is the original CD DOS version. To access to menu, when you right-click on ride and shop menu, you have the tiny one and one you left click you have the fullscreen menu.
