Spending money isn’t upgrading. It’s just waisting money

Lowering center of gravity is an upgrade. Lowering gear ratio is an upgrade, adding lights...well if you like lights that's an upgrade too. And if your spending money on what you like, it's not wasting money, it is upgrading your happy. So spending money a good thing. Just think how happy the owner of the hobby shop was to see me. Everyone is happy😎

Any fixes for the steering binding issues? Mine is so bad it is shelfed until Traxxas provides a solution. I would return it, but it was a gift. Go with FCX24 or SCX24, or just ANYTHING else than Traxxas.
@BullgearRCvideos Жыл бұрын
Do you have bronco? If so look to see if tires are rubbing the links. They have wider tires than defender and may rub links. Also put oil on cvd's and bushings to help free them up, or get the bearing kit and replace bushings with bearings. Hope this helps
@necessaryrc1802 Жыл бұрын
@BullgearRC videos Thanks, I have the Defender, it doesn't seem to be the tires. I cleaned, oiled and greased and reassembled with bearings. It didn't help though, and I have not taken it outside to where the grease would attract dirt. Just bench testing trying to get it smooth like my other crawlers. I even run my scx24 on 3s with a 370 brushed motor and it doesn't bind at all at full lock.
@BullgearRCvideos Жыл бұрын
@NecessaryRC if you have a transmitter for a trx-4 or have access to one, you may try to bind it to your trx4m and set the end points at a bit less than a full lock. I haven't noticed any problem with mine. Maybe your factory end point settings are a bit to excessive
@necessaryrc1802 Жыл бұрын
@BullgearRC videos Thank you that sounds worth trying. I'll have to go to a hobbytown or an event and find someone with a transmitter that can do that though, unfortunately I don't have one, and don't really have any friends who are into RC. Really appreciate the help, you are making me want to stick with this and not give up on it yet. Thank you!!!

One thing I noticed with my defender is that you HAVE to remover the front and rear bumpers if your wanting to crawl
@BullgearRCvideos2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I'm assuming the Defender is more of a trail truck. I will most likely scale it out and use it for that purpose. May grab another one to make a performance rig

The first thing you should do with this rc is take it completely apart. There was absolutely no grease in any of the gears in mine. It's not just mine either. Several KZbinrs have made videos of there's having no grease in their diffs and gearbox also. Traxxas doesn't put Any in this rc anywhere.
@V8chump2 жыл бұрын
I don’t think grease matters on the trans, diffs should probably have some just for anti rust purposes though! I’ve also heard of shocks being empty from the factory. Traxxas will send you a free bottle of shock oil if you show them how empty they are too 😉😁 can’t ever have tooooo much
@justinhetricck61972 жыл бұрын
@@V8chump if you add some grease to them it's less strain on the motor. Witch results in it running a lot smoother and the battery lasting a lot longer. Yes you can run without it,but it performs better and last longer with it.
@V8chump2 жыл бұрын
@@justinhetricck6197 is the trans sealed though? I know on the scx24 grease just got flung off, seeped out, and made a mess because it wasn’t sealed at all. never really did anything
