Steve became a Christian when he got sick, he attended church for a while and talked to the pastor for hours, when he died in the hospital, he had a Bible on his chest, before he died he was reading it. See you in heaven steve.

Well, I guess that that is not surprising. I wonder which church that was. A contractor in our church was doing a remodel for him back then. They seemed to be friends, but I don't know how close. Our church, "Faith of Our Father's " was very active back then in the south bay of Los Angeles, and John Daley could have been a part of all that. The admiration of celebrities seemed a tad idolatrous, so I had no interest in working on that job.

Believe me, there are still thousands of young people practicing their musical instruments for hours upon hours every day. And many of those talented musicians dream of being able to earn a living making music. Was it “the industry” that killed the goose that laid the golden egg?

Steve McQueen rocks in this movie. The chase scene is about as real as you can get, with no real music drowning out the real sounds of a car chase, and McQueen did most of his own driving. And who doesn't like the cars of that time? Ya, I know huh? I was 11yrs old when me and some friends snuck into the theater to see this movie.

Probably one of the best soundtracks of the 60's and early-mid 70's movies. The word, "Groovy", comes to mind in certain places as well as chilling aspects, which add suspense. The cadence is so beautifully paced too that you can imagine the actual scenes- at least I can as I've watched movie so many times and still find it riveting as I do the cars and the scenery.

This guy Lalo Schifrin is a genius!! There was also a very cool vibe coming onto the music scene in 1968 with horns, a Hohner, thrashing guitarist just as good if not better than Hendrix...it was the early days of "Chicago" and boy were they fabulous. Finally a long-overdue induction into the Rock Hall of Fame. P.s. I vote for the '68 Charger as the greatest rear end on any car of the 1960s.

Unfortunately, the channel aired a sensored old print version of the movie. It wasn't until the film was released on VHS tape that I got to see the full theatrical version. Now I have it on DVD and bluray disc. Steve McQueen was one of those cool actors that had a rough edge manner about him.

I never knew Lalo was an Argentinian. He wrote the ideal music for that film. it would not have been as good without it. Argentina...brings to mind the tango opening of Schindler's List "Por Una Cabeza". It set the tone for the entire film. OMG these Argies!

One of my prefered movies, Steve Mc Queen is so awesome, this music fits the mood perfectly, Lalo Schiffrin is also one of the best OST composer. Yes, this is a masterpiece.

First a huge thank you to you for your hard work and time to post a movie sound track that is all musically balanced and if you have seen the movie “once or twice” yes I know. The influence of natural rhythms outside of the film goers of that time and enjoying a awesome movie with no drama no silly and awesome car chase that is still the “ Gold Standard” every car chase in any movie released after this is a top ten contender for car chases in cinema

My ears tell me this is the "re-do" with the WDR Big Band rather than the original soundtrack. Thank you for this excellent compilation. The Cincinnati Kid, Bullitt, and Dirty Harry were magnificent 60's film scores by the Brilliant Lalo.

The mannerisms, Steve adds to his acting,is just perfect, timeless and great.my dad had a 1964 mustang, it wasn't a muscle car, but when I drove it, I imagined I was steve McQueen.

when I was little I always remembered when McQueen put his gun down and the credits come up, that music always stuck with me. 11:09
