Steve became a Christian when he got sick, he attended church for a while and talked to the pastor for hours, when he died in the hospital, he had a Bible on his chest, before he died he was reading it. See you in heaven steve.
@mitchellrose362020 күн бұрын
Well, I guess that that is not surprising. I wonder which church that was. A contractor in our church was doing a remodel for him back then. They seemed to be friends, but I don't know how close. Our church, "Faith of Our Father's " was very active back then in the south bay of Los Angeles, and John Daley could have been a part of all that. The admiration of celebrities seemed a tad idolatrous, so I had no interest in working on that job.

Steve McQueen rocks in this movie. The chase scene is about as real as you can get, with no real music drowning out the real sounds of a car chase, and McQueen did most of his own driving. And who doesn't like the cars of that time? Ya, I know huh? I was 11yrs old when me and some friends snuck into the theater to see this movie.

Probably one of the best soundtracks of the 60's and early-mid 70's movies. The word, "Groovy", comes to mind in certain places as well as chilling aspects, which add suspense. The cadence is so beautifully paced too that you can imagine the actual scenes- at least I can as I've watched movie so many times and still find it riveting as I do the cars and the scenery.

There was also a very cool vibe coming onto the music scene in 1968 with horns, a Hohner, thrashing guitarist just as good if not better than Hendrix...it was the early days of "Chicago" and boy were they fabulous. Finally a long-overdue induction into the Rock Hall of Fame. P.s. I vote for the '68 Charger as the greatest rear end on any car of the 1960s.

Unfortunately, the channel aired a sensored old print version of the movie. It wasn't until the film was released on VHS tape that I got to see the full theatrical version.
