Loved seeing Jah with his friend and understanding every word that you said before dropping him off in his younger years for playtime❣️🐕🦺 I used to buy my dress clothes at that Bullocks Wilshire and even remember at a very young age going to the tearoom with my Aunt Vicky. Beautiful building & beautiful memories. Thanks Jordan for making my day with this vlog still current for 2022. ❤️🙏🏻🌴🌈

My mom worked at a law firm across the street and took me to the tea room to see a fashion show in the 70s. In 2001 I was working at another law firm, also across the street, and one of the other paralegals had a pass to the building since it was a law library. She took me to lunch at the cafeteria, which I think was the tearoom, and it was like going back to the 30s. They totally preserved it. Great vlog as always!

Your Vlog, brought back so many happy memories of Christmas shopping with my mother and Grandmother in the mid to late 60's. My father would drop us off in the back, drop off area...then come back later. It was still considered swanky at the time, clean and beautiful. We often ate lunch there before my father picked us up. My 2nd grade patriotic painting was even featured near the cafeteria area, along with other Los Angeles area school children's paintings😀 I was born and raised in 1959 in the Belvedere Area on 1st Street. Plz, do a Vlog about that area. It was a Russian, Jewish neighborhood back in the day. The 1st st. Store and bank were a historical area. Masonic lodge was up the street from us on Townsend Ave. And later used as a furniture wharehouse. Our neighbor, Mr. Fred Moran made miniatures for Cecil B. DeMile movies. My parents later purchased his house. His miniatures were at Motts Miniatures in Knotts Berry Farm for many years. He was one of the members off the Masonic lodge and often had elections held in his back building. Great historical old schools there too.

Thanks for vlogging this Jordan! The one and only time I shopped at Bullock's Wilshire was on it's last day of operation in 1993. It was an art-deco wonder! I still have the bed sheets I purchased that day. I wish you could have seen it... I wish it didn't have to go, but the times were a-changin'. Being able to venture into every nook-and cranny of the place on its last day was a privilege. Thanks again Jordan!

I miss Bullocks Wilshire so much! I shopped there with my mom and grandmother when I was a little girl. The food in the tea room was delish and the valets who parked your car were really cute!

What a beautiful art deco inspired building and you did a great job painting a picture for the mind of what Bullucks must have been like during its hey-day. Also, the guy with the shopping cart and the guy on the train,,,looooove it. Now that is Cali-crazy that is really cool.

I love “Ghostbusters & NL Christmas Vacation”! I’m glad the building is being used & not just decaying or demolished. I can’t do a Rubik’s Cube with my eyes open let alone with them closed. 😅 Loved the vlog!!

Oh you straight boys and your football lol. I miss the days of the real department stores. I remember the local department store here when we would go to the cafe on the top floor and when they had a fur department. So sad mini malls and online shopping have killed these stores.

What an awesome vlog!! Such great architecture and history. Reminds me of how the old Marshall Fields store in downtown Chicago was when I was a kid. It too was an all day affair, especially around the holidays. In the 70's the elevators still had human operators that would announce each floor and what was available for purchasing. Hopefully you can get inside one day, would love to see the interior!!!

Loved the history, Jordan, thank you! 🌼

If you want to see interiors before and after restoration KCET online did several stories about Bullocks Wilshire on closing day, as the library took over and various stages of restoration. The interiors are beautiful and restored to 1929 originals.
