Warner brothers made a huge mistake when, about 30 years ago, they ripped down their classic western street to put up a parkade ! They also ripped down the back lot and now also ripped down all the famous sets at the warner ranch just up the street. The western street is where errol flynn made ^ dodge studio ^ and hundreds of other famous westerns

my grandfather use to drink with celebs from Warners at the Smokehouse back in the 50s and 60s. Tarzan, the Rat Pack, among others. My grandpa worked for the railroad, but the celebs treated him like one of the guys. My grandparents lived in an apartment on Barham next to the freeway offramp and the corner florist.

Only went on this tour once one a field trip, but it really was awesome. Got to see the entire cast of Friends. And Brad Pitt who was taking them to lunch. He and Jen were still together and they were filming the last few episodes before the finale. Really surreal moment...definitely memorable. Sad about some of the backlot getting razed though.

My wife and I took the WB tour a few years ago when we traveled to Cal. I was shocked and quite pissed how they only tried to push all their newer crap stuff on everyone and completely ignored all the classic movies we loved and the reason we wanted to take the tour in the first place. I was aware before hand the sound stage that one of the great scenes from Casablanca was filmed in, but when we passed by it the tour guide didn't even mention it. I told my wife we won't be taking this tour ever again.

I think I've done a WB tour a while ago. They took us where the audience sat for the Drew Carey show and I remember it was freezing in there. Also we went through the set. Then we went to a huge costume room where they had just received some of Denzel Washington's movie outfits that they had just cataloged and was hanging up. It is so interesting.
