Lots of Midwest Division memories here. Mengelt had been a favorite in Detroit before going to Chicago. By this point in his Pistons career, Lanier was often frustrated by the unwillingness of the Pistons guards to get him the ball. Money and Ford were lousy playmakers, but Money was exactly that on mid-range jumpers in the lane.
