Josh Giddey looked more aggressive during the Olympic games, hopefully that's what he has focused on during the off season. He 3pt shooting was decent as well, just his turnovers were an issue but he can improve on that, he's only young.

However one small thing he played and still loves Aussie Rules not Rugby. AFL is a crazy game if you don’t know it but many top players have basketball backgrounds.

I'm an OKC fan and honestly I can't fathom that they traded Giddey. He was a big part of why they just went 57-25 and finished 1st in the west massively exceeding all expectations and was part of the core four group of players with Chet, SGA and JDub that made them great. Why would you possibly want to break that team up or change things when you had a year like that? OKC is going to be really sorry when they see what Giddey does this year. He is about to go off.

I am an Aussie Thunder fan but even I saw the sense in him moving on. No one saw JDub being the player he is turning out to be and I think Josh was genuinely expected to be one of the big three so to speak but you can’t keep everyone. He will always be appreciated by real Thunder supporters.

Giddey is going to either average a triple double (20/10/10) or close to it next year and might be an all star and Caruso won't average 7 points and will get outplayed by Wiggins who we already had and is a better overall player. We didn't need another wing player...we have tons of them already.

I will be watching him closely with the Bulls but as a Thunder fan I hope Caruso delivers what management expect from the trade but I am not convinced he’s going to be a big upgrade to the roster.

@@davidhorne2672 There's no question his abilities will be magnified but he went from a team that clearly was going to win championships soon to a team that has no chance. To me this trade is similar to the Harden trade which is arguably the stupidest in NBA history. You just don't change things when you have something that is working. That OKC with KD and Russ would have been a dynasty had they kept Harden. I think OKC might just very well have made the same mistake again.

Rather than spread the money around and compete he wanted his 💰 Could have made so much more if he stayed and they won the title and also a had a ring to remember. This was from the time he left. “The Thunder offered Harden $55.5 million over four years -- $4.5 million less than the max deal Harden coveted and will get from the Rockets, sources told ESPN” This is a mutual decision Josh doesn’t want to be on the bench and will be in a lineup much better suited for him to do what he does. He makes others better and the off court opportunities in a big market are much better. He will be fine.

They show the same three shots Cooper made at the Olympic Camp, come on, he's nice but Matis is just as good as Cooper! He's a major talent but there's some freshmen who can ball just as good as Flagg. Boozer being one of them, even though he's a year behind, he was player of the year as a Junior, Cooper won it last season. Rutgers has two beast this year!!!

Giddey was the starting PG on a team that finished near the top in the West! Not sure why people think he won't elevate this team. The team is deeper than they have been over the last couple of years. Giddey isn't far off from being an average 3pt shooter and he has gotten better every year he's been in the league. So he'll be better next year than he was this year. Billy D already traveled to LA to visit Zach and they talked out their differences. He will come back motivated to get that trade and which will also help elevate us. That will also elevate the return we get for him. I would be more shocked if they didn't play well.

I’ve been watching the NBA for 11 years now and I have never, ever seen a big or forward fail to succeed because of slenderness. Guards, for sure. Centers, maybe your role is more complicated. But outright a 3/4 played off the court for frame related reasons? Literally 0 examples of it happening in a decade. Giannis was already good and effective as a twig, so were Ingram, Jon Isaac, Mikal, Chet, Mobley, Claxton, DJJ and others. The skinny guys who failed often failed for other reasons. Poku BBIQ was in the toilet, same with Bol and Bamba, Ziaire Williams was a touted shooter and can’t shoot, Reddish is just comically bad at scoring within the 3pt line and shot under 40% from the rim in college so we saw it coming. “Too skinny to be good” isn’t real.
