Television studios always have a Make-up artist who ensure the studio lighting doesn't make the complexion look pasty; they apply make-up to counter this look before the cameras roll. If you look closely at pretty much everyone who appears on television you'll notice they're caked with foundation, to dampen the glare. The joke Ronnie Sharp referred to was that men from working class Lanarkshire wouldn't admit to wearing make-up, therefore, Ronnie just grassed Drew in to all his mates. Yes?
