This video is pretty underrated. I think this game is too far gone in the pages of time for a sequel. As much as I would like one. A lot of people have been suggesting ideas for years on the story carrying off with Jimmy in college. That just doesn’t sit right with me. The unique thing about Bully is its PG13 vibe and that nostalgic childlike charm. Something which would get lost in a college setting. I find it hard to believe that people will settle scores with Slingshots and Spud Guns in college. It would be more like the V-tech incident irl. Bully is not Gta. It never will be. The main fun of Bully is its sarcasm and silly activities. The main fun of Gta are rampages and over the top missions. I think a new protagonist and story would work better. A school setting is an integral part of Bully. There is no other game out there who does that. Maybe they can change it a bit and make it something like Summer School/Camp (which was the original idea when Bully 2 was in development). Something where School/Academics still hold a strong part in the game. Even so, society has changed so much since 2006. Rockstar was even unsure whether to release Gta 6 for a decade. Since the Socio-political landscape has become more ridiculous and over the top irl than any Gta or Rockstar game ever made. It’ll be more like documentary instead of exaggeration. Either way, good review. Video is nicely made and hope it will be viewed by more people. Also, I appreciate that you didn’t wear stupid clothes in the cutscenes. Too many videos on KZbin showcase that. A simple Bullworth Hoodie is underrated asf.

the only reason we don't want sequels to anything or remakes anymore, is because anything made in this timeline has been garbage so far lol no one has balls to make anything actually worth watching / playing.

Bully doesn't need a sequel. It's a standalone lightning in a bottle like Bloodborne. It can't be replicated.

I love the original and would love a sequel, just not about Jimmy. He could show up as an adult, either a cameo or a parent figure of the new deliquent student, like a boxing coach helping out problem kids. Maybe make the protag a rotten girl that still does all the Bully things but just doesn't get into fights as often.

What's funny is that I've seen fan made images of a girl character as the protagonist for Bully 2. I just don't really the need for a sequel because you'll either get repeated jokes from the original game or, like I said, really tasteless ones. The original game covers so many vices and parodies of teachers and students hand in hand. Maybe you could joke about a teacher being an adult content creator on the side or a student who is obsessed with social media (though they played that joke in particular in GTA5 with Tracy De Santa). Rockstar could play into more of the clout chase culture that has spawned from KZbin and TikTok, but those are already going to be featured in GTA6. I've run it through my head several different ways where a Bully 2 could be possible, but always come to the conclusion where it can't really be as expanded upon as the other games in Rockstar's library. Though I do agree with you, we are due for a Jimmy Hopkins cameo in some form or fashion.
