Cheryl has all these tells when she really loves a band or record... couldn't agree more with her about this fantastic, underappreciated gem of a band.

Oh hell yes, their first performance on KEXP is what made me fall in love with them. I've just been to see them live on Monday and now this is out a couple of days later, perfect.

Good stuff! A great band ripping it up in the studio. Thanks again KEXP! At times, the vocals remind me a bit of jennifer herrema (royal trux), although with way more range and articulation.

So I've only ever listened to their newest album, but does anyone get a super strong Pavement vibe from 'Guess there'? Not in a bad way, I think its a killer song.
@coroquetes6 жыл бұрын
Definitely, man! Both the song structure and even the guitar tones reminds me of Malkmus' style. Another band that also have (or had) a Pavement vibe to it sometimes is Speedy Ortiz, they're cool. Bad english here, I know, fuck that...
@saam67686 жыл бұрын
Caio Gabriel Guimarães better English than my Spanish :-) and yes Speedy Ortiz is also awesome!

Their first album was just OK, but "Losing" is by far the best album from 2017. From first to last track, it's incredibly well written. Grunge is not dead, after all...

First record on KEXP was better & original. Nowdays, its so typical & bored. My opinion: there is not progress in their music. I will not hear it second time but lost works of Breeders or L7 I will.
@LucasSpurrell6 жыл бұрын
Mikhail Stenin I understand what you mean but for me it's more about being authentic and genuine than being wholly original. Don't get me wrong, I love it when something is new and experimental, but that alone doesn't do it for me. Bully may not be completely unique but you'll miss out on a lot of great music if you ignore anything that sounds similar to anything else.
@coda32084 жыл бұрын
Don’t hate. This is awesome music. And you can hear the live to two track sound in their playing. Rock on!
