One of the coolest things about Bully is how they can take the simple concept of a kid causing trouble in school and make it feel like an epic tale. This music paired with a final face off on a stormy football field makes it feel like you're taking on something much bigger than a jock

Fr, I loved how the conflict seemed bigger than it really is, it only gets truly serious in the end when Gary causes such a chaos that it can get Bullworth shut down permanently (even if we don't focus on that) and maybe even grave injuries and deaths (seriously ISTG the kids were after each other's heads in the riots) But even then it feels like an epic tale of one kid taking over an entire empire, even tho the game had a world and technical scale smaller than more recent Rockstar games its scale through the story, music, vibe and worldbuilding felt much bigger

I remember once when I was a kid around 10 I believe. Don't remember if I was on vacation or what, but what I know is that I still didn't have a memory card. So it was between noon and 2pm and I got to chapter 2 where the gates to the city are open. So my parents were talkin to someone on the phone on how to fix a printer. The thing is, the printer and the tv/ps2 used the same power line. I had to turn off the ps2 for a while so they could use the printer, I was so upset... 😅

I love how this song really pumps you up to finish the job. Ted and the Jocks are all that are left to take down, and The Big Game as a whole really feels like its the final mission of the game: Take down Ted, and you rule the school as the most popular kid. Complete with this reprise of the game's main motif, making it seem like one final battle that's in your favor, and even the battleground, the football field in the middle of the rain, EVERYTHING screams a climactic finale.

One of the best parts of Bully is the amount of soundtracks inside the game. Many missions, Cliques themes, and even things you do. Example: when you're walking, it's a single song. When you're on trouble but hidden, when you start riding a bike, it changes automatically, when you're being followed by Police or Prefects it also chages, without even mentioning the different cliques.

I love how the view of this fight's area was panoramic and gave you a full view of the entire line up of Ted's linebackers so you could see them more easily. It also made the field look bigger than it really was, so it matched the epic scale of this song.

Nobody who made Bully is even left at Rockstar anymore. The team pretty much disbanded straight after Canis Canem Edit's release. Bick unfortunately passed away from heart problems in 2007, Skupa and Krarup went to another studio to work on Sleeping Dogs, Kuprejanov and DeVizia are gone as well I believe. Only person left is the writer Dan Houser.

I'm not one to generally cry for video games but this theme realy brings back the nostalgia! They actually made use of the football field and not just used it for a fancy prop for eye candy. This is late but those people need to realize that this game does give you the option to be a bully, but the story itself is about standing up to bullies and trying to make sure it doesn't happen at your school again. But they did it the Rockstar way. In free roam you can bully random students, just go about your business and try to avoid conflict until all the cliques respect you, or you can defend students who are being bullied. Or a combination of the choices.

It was during this mission did I realise how special and memorable this game is. All those experiences came up into my mind while I was dodging the balls and throwing them back. I think it is specifically this very mission that has a true scale and vibe of a Boss Fight.
