Mine just arrived today and I'm wearing it now. JomaShop has them for a decent price. This is a lovely watch. The face is very pretty and surprisingly readable. I've burnt out on "just another dive watch," so I'm always on the hunt for something functional and different, and this one punches that ticket. I'll be curious to see how much the non-screw down secondary crowns move. But overall, I'm very glad I added it to my collection. UPDATE: so I set the 2 bezels to 12 and have been wearing it for more than 2 days straight, including sleeping with it, and the bezels haven't budged. So if that's a worry, my personal experience is it's not an issue.

Exciting, Bulova was my choice as a first Automatic Swiss back in 2015, great 1st watch. I remember Bulova from the 60's when it was King of the American Watch World and their legacy is incredible. Love the watch and the price point

The Accuswiss version of the A-15 came out a few years back and I did see a few of them available on eBay. Unfortunately, I did not pull the trigger to secure a copy. If my recollection serves me right, that version, with a Swiss movement, had a slightly smaller case.

Great looking piece, the movement is the only thing I don’t like I think. Even the stock strap looks nice. The dual crowns and internal bezels is sweet, I like my snorkel for that reason. It’s a great looking casual, office watch and it’s eye catching. Nice design, cool history for both the company and the watch. Excellent review, again, and nice introduction to a piece with cool history.

Somehow I missed this review and the watch, but I am intrigued. Bulova has some unique thinking inside the crystal. Pilot watches seem to be all the craze today, but they can be a bit boring, but not this one! Thanks for another good review.

I really love this watch, too. TWO INTERNAL BEZELS! But the deal-killer for me are the non-screw down crowns. There’s no way to lock the bezels. It’s a shame, because otherwise I’d snap this one up.

I looked at this model A-15 (96A245), but decided to buy a NOS of the previous Accu-Swiss version (65A107) with the Selitta SW-200 movement and a 40mm diameter. The newer model is more readable, but mine has hands that are longer, which make more sense. (I figured I could also buy the new model later, but finding a 65A107 later might be hard.) Although the rotating hour scale can be used for a second time zone, I believe the original intent was to time the elapsed time of the flight (contrary to the Bulova web-site). Used with the rotating minute scale, one would be able to read off the elapsed time of a flight in hours and minutes. Just align the two scales to the hour and minute hands at the beginning of the flight. Then, the elapsed time can be directly read off those scales.

Very cool watch that I've had my eye on for a while. I own a Hamilton Pilot Pioneer which is somewhat similar to this but being Swiss is significantly pricier. I think the Bulova is different enough that I could get one without it feeling somewhat redundant w the Hammy. Nice review as always 👍

Chris love the Eterna, If they tossed a 9000 series myota, I might consider dropping that much money, but it is a decent looking watch, or look for an older version with a swiss movement.

I owned this watch for a week and sold it because of the thickness, same issue that Tudor Black Bay watches have, way too tall (at least of my personal liking). It would be an amazing piece if it was under 11mm. It's still a good piece for wrists on the bigger side I think.

Pilot watches have always been oversized. This may have worked at 40 mm but not any smaller.

Indeed this is a very beatiful watch however it's a pity this to be just a 30M WR watch while in its official video it was designed (at first) to have a 200m WR caseback. There are even 10 times cheaper watches with 100m water resistance unfortunately that's a big drawback for Bulova.

Question: since the 2 & 4 o’clock crowns don’t lock, do the bezels tend to shift with wear? If I set the dual time to say, 3 o’clock, if I looked back 6 to 12 hrs later would it still be set in the same position?

Yes, unfortunately they do shift. Crowns hit your skin as your hand moves around and doesn’t take much effort for the crowns to turn. Only bad thing if you want to use the rotating bezels. They should have made the crowns screw down.

What a “review”. No lug-to-lug, no movement model, endless blabbering, nothing said about tightness of the crowns. No 24 hour time tracking so it’s quasi GMT. No lume length testing. No macro. Everyone is a reviewer today. Still better than Caseback Tim “reviewing” watch renders though.

There are a lot of numbers on that dial! Beautiful watch nonetheless. Happy to hear Bulova is using the upgraded movement because they did not use it in their "hack" field watch reissue. How tightly do the bezels turn? I have heard they can be quite loose and their position might shift with the watch on the wrist.

Not that tight but not loose by any means I think they worked as expected...
