Ok, That's even better. When you had the frame bare, I noticed the skid plate/frame section was removable. Mine is like that also, but that piece is missing on my bike. Is that a standard part? I'm not seeing any online. Thanks.

Yes it’s the original on mine but I suspect they are a very hard part to source as you mention not being able to find any. Most of the parts for these old bikes now are very hard to come by what a lot of people do is to try and source a donor bike make one out of two the only other option is to have them newly fabricated unfortunately

Referring to your previous reply, I'm going to have one made. It looks pretty straightforward. Question: Is there a name for that particular frame or why it was used? Also, What does the number designation of the models mean? 99 199B

BULTACO PRODUCTION DETAILS FROM 1959 TO 1981 The M Letter indicates that it is a Motor Number is preceded by another letter indicating the cubic capacity of the engine. For the Frame the Letter B indicates that it is a Frame, (B is for Bastidor which is Frame in English) The Number is preceded by another letter indicating the cubic capacity of the engine. Engine Frame ZM 50cc ZB 50cc YM 75cc YB 75cc XM 100cc XB 100cc VM l25cc VB l25cc UM 150cc UB 150cc TM 175cc TB 175cc SM 200cc SB 200cc RM 225cc RB 225cc PM 250cc PB 250cc NM 275cc NB 275cc LM 300cc LB 300cc KM 325cc KB 325cc JM 350cc JB 350cc HM 360cc HB 360cc GM 400cc GB 400cc Can get pretty complicated to be honest

Hi LJ thank you for your comment yes good bikes the Bultaco’s I have been so busy I’ve had to put the bike building on hold hopefully sometime in the future I’ll get it back up and running 👍

​@@northernernonthemove Thanks for your reply. I have fond memories of riding dirt bikes as a kid. A friend's dad had a bike like yours. He let me ride it once, and I was in love with them from that day on. Now I'm retired and just bought a 1975 350T shepra. It's in rough shape. Would it be OK to email you? I have some questions about my bike. If you are not comfortable with it, that's no problem. Take care.
