Killed it again, another kick ass video. I have the same ATV. Also my sarter stopped working, solonoid clicked, changed it, same click. Must be the starter. Does the flywheel have a notch to get at the third starter bolt.....I haven't taken the cover off yet to look? Thanks.

Only 2 bolts in the starter on the flywheel side you can remove without taking off the flywheel.

I see that you were able to turn the motor over by hand pretty easily. I can’t seem to do the same. I have to use a wrench to turn it over. It’s smooth all around but lots of resistance. I’m stressing that I maybe didn’t use enough grease on the seals

If you have to use a wrench, the lack of grease is not the issue. Did you check the crank shaft end play? If the crank bearings are in a bind, then it will cause an issue like this. I wouldn't continue to build the engine I would disassemble the bottom end and make sure there is not an issue before I continued.

@@MrFixit1 OK I was able to turn it over by hand until the last bearing. (However, yours still seem to turn more freely than mine through the whole build ). I did have trouble getting that bearing in, and it didn’t feel as smooth as my old bearing so I think it is ever so crooked. I’m going to put the old bearing back in and see how it goes.

Love your videos. Its got me most of the way through getting my 400L back in service. Started as a pile of parts i drug out of a barn a year ago! Had it running great and now it keeps tripping the main breaker when i turn the key on. Cant figure it out. Please help!

unplug each circuit at a time until it stops tripping the braker and that will narrow it down. Thanks for watching.

Hello! Want to start by thanking you for really good videos, have checked all your videos containing the Polaris 400. I have a Polaris trailboss 350L, and am struggling with setting up the carburetor. Do you have any plans to make a video about the carburettor on the machine? Thank you so much from Sweden!

I have not planned to make a video but, I can. The manual I have gives factory settings for the carb based on altitude. If you have a manual have a look and you may find the information, there. Although engine ware and any modifications will have an effect on the jetting. If everything is factory then the book will get you real close.
