Yes sir we can use a second phone as well for gps. Issue is now which phone will u connect to Sena, this device also shows ur incoming calls n messages etc, so still ur main phone is in ur pocket so u may miss the notifications n all. If that is all ok then no issue atall.

@@virajvrooms The problem here is most don't understand. Practically it is a headache No smartphone has dual Bluetooth connectivity option. Thus you can't connect helmet intercom to it directly, only option is to connect to your phone directly but again that is headache while Anwering the call as you have select the source device, only in some phones it will remain with last connected devices. HUR needs a wifi connection. And it will disconnect in between and you have to reconnect. Have you ever used HUR App in a car or bike ? If yes how many kms or how long have you used it ? I am using HUR for long time. For a short period of time it is fine. If you want a reliable connection then that is not the option.

I have mounted my phone for navigation..I want to have some clips of the nature while travellling where pillion can capture, then I have given my phone to them where I am not having navigation now. My pillion's phone is not that good to take from their phone...then this will be useful

Same effect can be obtained by following.. 1. A waterproof case with charger (ex. Bobo cases) 2. An old Android phone 3. Head unit reloaded all installed on Android phone. It will enable Android auto to be cast wirelessly from primary phone to the old phone.

Connect it to a normal USB charger with around 5W charging current, and you will eliminate most of the heating. A lot of the functionality of your apps are lost when you use Android Auto, many don't even work, and most Android Auto devices (including the one in this video) don't work well with Bluetooth communicators. One thing to remember is that the screen brightness of those old phones is poor, so visibility may be poor in direct sunlight.

It's better to mount an old phone with a charger on as the wireless cast drains the battery faster. New Himalayan 450 instrument cluster navigation is not helpful in similar ways as battery drained in just 2 Hours ride

RE failed miserably here. As they are doing R&D and launching something new they why its half baked. For android also same issue is there. If you lock, it gets disconnected.

I guess now fanboys will understand the issue with REs implementation of screencast. This device has AndroidAuto and doesn't need a proprietary app that keeps the phone screen on all the time. Your phones can stay in pockets for long without charging and also connect to your Intercoms

1 problem for navigation on mobile is heat as Bullu vai said. 2nd is rain. It's hard to find water resistant mobile under 20k. 3rd is if you have a costly phone with water rating, there is always a chance to break it even in a light crash. Your 50+k phone is not designed rugged enough for this type of abuse.

Agreed... Plus there's a couple more issues with smartphones when mounted on the bike for navigation: 1. It messes up the camera sensors due to constant vibrations and eventually causes a permanent damage to the camera quality 2. Phones are designed to be used after charging them and not while being charged - due to being constantly used for hours while charging causes immense heat and this deteriorates the battery life
