Okay, I'm confused. Someone care to explain their thinking behind this?

Makes sense to me. The autobots in Bumblebee saw earth as a primitive planet with no importance. They only went to earth to regroup and safely plan out their next move. The first few minutes we see autobots evacuating randomly so they would need somewhere to regroup, that's all earth was to them in the beginning. Afterwords they return to their planet, fight some more, learn about the allsparks location, alert Bee who stayed on earth, and then bam! 2007 movie. You might say, "why not meet up on the moon or some other place with no life?" Well in their minds they just went with whatever looked good in the movie. But if I had to make a reason, it'd be much easier to find a group of autobots hiding on a rock with no other species on it, not to mention they wouldn't have the natural resources to rebuild, repair, or leave. It does kind of chop up with the other movies but to date there's been no transformer movie sequel that hasn't messed with the timeline. Honestly don't know why you guys are acting like some discrepancies means it can't fit in like all the other movies.
@Rebelian1895 жыл бұрын
@@R.J.Productions616 That's what I meant. They went to earth instead of other uninhabited locations because it's so densely populated and they can easily hide from the decepticons. They didnt go to earth to stay, just to regroup before leaving out again. They did fly off to different places afterall.

REBOOT

Eh, as much as Paramount/Hasbro states, I just can't get behind it personally. Ofc, I'll still support the franchise nonetheless but I'm going to need more convincing from them, in terms of films. Ya know, fill in the gaps, more explanations, etc... That's just me though. We'll see in the future regardless
@Rebelian1895 жыл бұрын
@@soundwavejordan If they reboot personally I cant support them like I want to considering Bumblebee barely qualified as a transformers movie. It's not a bad movie, but it adds nothing to the transformers movies and is more focused on the humans story than Bumblebees. I need a movie that can show it can actually properly developed its transformers cast, not skim over it like Bumblebee did.

This is just straight up ridiculous! Lorenzo is exposing himself as an incompetent producer with no knowledge of the franchise in each interview for the B.B. movie. As a Bayformers fan, I also would like this film to be a reboot. I think both Hasbro and Paramount has the true official answer. I think they’ll finally say it next month at New York Toy Fair. Lorenzo here, He’s just trying so hard to make this half reboot/half prequel movie a prequel. Why would he say this if Hasbro, Paramount and Travis got rid of 90% Bayverse connections and replaced it with reboot scenes such as the lack of transformers knowledge from Sector 7 and that ending scene that fully retcons the Bayverse just Incase the movie does really well at the box office to start off it’s own rebooted series.

My thoughts exactly! Congratulations for that comment man! It really sums up my thoughts on this!
@soundwavejordan5 жыл бұрын
Agreed! I guess we'll see down the road as they continue on with the franchise. I just need a clear and concise explanation
@soundwavejordan5 жыл бұрын
So I'm just gonna offer my final thoughts on this! Some say it can still be a prequel but ofc, there are contradictions as to why this seems like a reboot instead of a prequel story. Me personally, and you guys probably already know this, but I much prefer a reboot. The previous franchise left a bad taste in the vast majority of peoples mouths and there's no sense of even trying to connect with that. Fresh start. Fresh story. Fresh tone. That would be the best suggestion as to where to go with the franchise. The reviews backs up that claim too. Just my two cents! :)

This movie completely negates the bay movies, for this movie to have happened with the events that occurred it can’t exist in the bayverse at all. And I’m gonna back this up with facts Fact 1 Decepticons presence We’re gonna start off with one of the biggest plot holes in the bayverse lore, the presence of Decepticons. Three major players in this are Soundwave (shoutout to you Jordan), Sentinel Prime (yes I’m counting him), and Megatron. This movie takes place in 1987, it’s revealed in DOTM that the Ark carrying Sentinel Prime crashed on the moon in 1961. Not long after the Luna 4 camera was launched by the Russians, at the time the pictures were taken they show us that pillars for the space bridge were dragged out of the ship. Fast forward a few more years to 1969 and the Apollo 11 was launched, bringing back samples for Sector 7. After this mission Soundwave and Lazerbeak started to shut down the space program in the early 70s, and kept their eyes on their “human collaborators” for the time after meaning he stayed on earth. Soundwave can’t be on Cybertron and earth at the same time. Megatron meanwhile crashed on earth sometime after 10’000 bc, as its stated in TF 2007 that the allspark crashed around 10’000 bc and was followed by Megatron. Megatron made his deal with Sentinel before Sentinel left cybertron to specifically target earth, your gonna tell me that the Ark took TWELVE THOUSAND YEARS LONGER TO GET TO EARTH then Megatron who had to have left quite some time after he did. If the Autobots do leave and come back that must mean it takes less then 20 years at most, MOST there and back. And your telling me it took Sentinel 12’000 years or more?!?! Another minor point that can be made depending on what you view as canon, in the DOTM game it is showed shockwave suffered the same fate as Megatron, crashing on earth and being discovered by the Russians. It’s not stated how long he has been frozen but I would assume he has been frozen for quite some time before at least the Cold War possibly not long after Megatron crashed .Placing him on earth the time this movie takes place. This last piece is totally up to yourself to decide if it’s right or not, last I heard the game was an official prequel to the movie itself. Fact 2 Hoover Dam The scientists at sector 7 in Bumblebee acted like this is the first time they are encountering a cybertronian, when according to the timeline Megatron should be chilling in their freezer since the 30’s with some Dr Pepper. Along with the Allspark just down the hall. Which at this point they’ve been studying for years since at least the early 1900’s as the Hoover dam was built around it!!! At this point the Cold War is still going on for another 4 years, the scientists even mention that they don’t want to lose this opportunity to the Russians. What opportunity?!?! They literally could have tried to take down Shatter and Dropkick and lose nothing!! They’ve already been studying Megatron and the allspark for nearly half a century at this point. Fact 3 Bumblebee himself In The Last Knight it’s shown that Bumblebee and Hot Rod fought nazis in world war 2, so this means Bumblebee took a day trip to earth sometime between 1939-1945 shot some nazis, went back to cybertron, and came back to earth 40-42 years later? At that point soldiers who were authorized to serve with the Autobots would have been high ranking government officials that would still be involved with this kind of stuff such as sector 7. The oldest some of them would range from after that time gap would be late 50 to mid 60s at most early 70s. It’s more realistic that no one remembered the Autobots 20 years later as at that point most of them would probably have retired or died. But no high ranking official from that time remembers the Autobots just 40 years after?! I ain’t buying it. those are the 3 big facts showing how it is not possible for the bayverse and this to be connected, thank you for listening to my ted talk

Hasbro needs to just ditch Lorenzo dibonaventura. Or maybe just switch from paramount to either Warner Brothers or Disney. We just need an all out fresh beginning for the transformers live action franchise. We just need a complete reset with everything new. Why can’t we have actual actors motion capture the Cybertronians. They were able to do that with the planet of the apes remake. It would make for a new interesting take as fans will keep guessing who, for example, the actor that will play Optimus Prime (Liam Neeson) or Arcee (Scarlet Johansson) or Slipstream (Emma Stone).
@mrboy29175 жыл бұрын
Cybertronian Sniper No way man are you nuts?! Hasbro shouldn’t switch to Warner Brothers nor Disney. They’re fine where they are at Paramount. They just need to get rid of Lorenzo and make him stay as far away from the franchise for good.

Black Star I think without paramount’s greed, they would’ve already gotten rid of bay after RoTF & we could have had decent movies after RoTF

Dank Starscream I have a feeling as long as transformers live action is with paramount, we won’t get a reboot. Paramount won’t fire lorenzo.

Cybertronian Sniper True but Warner Brothers and Disney would likely make it worse after seeing how they handled the current state of the Star Wars franchise and the DCEU until Aquaman improved it greatly.
@soundwavejordan5 жыл бұрын
Me personally, I wouldn't go as far out to make all those changes. I just want Lorenzo out and that's about it haha also rebooting the franchise with Bee being the starting point would make me happy as well
@h-e-acc5 жыл бұрын
I don’t know why hasbro would still choose to stick with paramount anyway. It’s deep in debt and almost ruined transformers live action because in their greed they kept shoving Michael bay down our throats until they get a reality check when TLK flopped big time.
@mrboy29175 жыл бұрын
Cybertronian Sniper No the problem isn’t Paramount. It’s only Lorenzo. Sure they did keep Bay for their greed for money until TLK happen. But they certainly let Travis have most of the freedom to make this film great. And they also did that with the director of Quiet Place which was also another great movie by them.
@soundwavejordan5 жыл бұрын
Yup! Just get rid of him at this point. Can't believe he stated this and is the only one talking about it too. He's the worst candidate to represent the Live-Action Transformers Series. Drives me crazy!

Lorenzo what in the name of Ratchet's rusty, old joints man?!!! Are you serious? Almost nothing in this film feels connected to the 2007 one! To me your statement sounds like an exuse for your incompetence. Like you realise that you've bottled it yet again and you're trying to make it seem as it was always meant to be like that. You're clearly bluffing. If the idea was to make this a prequel than WHY was the movie rewritten and half of the stuff that really would've make it feel more connected to the original one deleted? How are you going to explain Bumblebee's appearance during WWII when this movie quite clearly implies that this is his first arrival on Earth? The original version of the film didn't include the opening sequence on Cybertron and didn't show Bumblebee's arrival to Earth and that would've worked better but come'n man! You don't change the movie so that it feels less connected to the 07 one and then explain how it still is! The idea behind the Autobots' presense on Earth in the first film is that they are looking for the AllSpark and not to establish a base. Then if they already came to Earth and established a base why would they leave it only to come back again after 20 years? What happened to the AllSpark? This is pure nonsense. This guy has to leave this franchise alone! He's done enough damage already.

Sums up my thoughts completely lmaoo Lorenzo is hysterical. I want out with him so badly. I at least want someone else to provide better explanations and reasonings behind this as well. Does Paramount/Hasbro not see the controversies within the TF community whenever he speaks??

@@soundwavejordan There are simply no explanations for this.

Pretty much how I feel. A fresh start is needed. There's literally no need to connect with the previous franchise at all. It was a mess haha I mean, I loved it but I won't be delusional and say it was a perfect series
