soundwavejordan it’s a de facto reboot. I had no doubt Even from the time the first trailer appeared. It will be a reboot, but using some elements of the 2007 movie.

Now my question is, what will be next if they were to create a sequel? Will they continue to keep the OG franchise in mind or slowly strand away from it?

soundwavejordan i think they’re probably going to depart from bay’s story, which is convoluted anyway, and iron out a better, more coherent narrative, with Travis Knight at the helm. IF, the bee movie is a success so it’s important it is a hit.

Makes sense! No point of even adding more to the Bay verse considering everyone strongly disliked it. This new direction is the way to go and if Hasbro plays it correctly, Transformers will stay on top!

I’m also glad transformers is back to the positive spot-light. I’m gonna watch Bumblebee this Saturday. I know I’ll love it before watching it but at the same time I’m extremely nervous to how the early fans/critic reactions are going to be like. But let’s hope for the best!

The more spots I see for this movie & the more I learn about all these Easter eggs knight put in, the more I’m getting excited.

Is confirmed Martin Short is doing Wheeljack’s voice. Dylan O’Brien is an excellent choice for bumblebee voice. Optimus Prime jumping ala the way he jumped in the cartoon movie. Starscream. Shockwave. Arcee. Optimus looks amazing. Hyped.

They are waiting for it to make money, if it makes money it’ll be called “the reboot “ they just can’t say it because if it was called a reboot before, and then let’s say it bombs then they can officially reboot it after

As for the transformers games, I wonder when ever will Hasbro get a new gaming company to get back on making transformers games for new gen consoles? Cause it’s been too long already... Devastation was a great sendoff but there’s still so much more especially since they can make a dark IDW transformers games. Or continue from where Fall to Cybertron left off. And get HighMoon back on board with the franchise.

I think it may depend on the success of the Bee film. If people love it and box office numbers blow expectations, then Hasbro will most def see that people are actually looking into tramsformers once more in which can possibly lead them to renewing a game license with a game publisher.
