I'm surprised that you did not mention the similarity between the upgrade of Orion Pax mirroring the upgrade of Megatron into Galvatron. In the 86 movie, Unicron (the God of Chaos) reformatted Megatron into Galvatron in a beam of light. In Transformers One, Primus (the God of Order), rebuilt Orion Pax into Optimus Prime, also in a beam of light. I don't know if anyone else noticed this similarity.

Somethings you missed was the fact that the Energy Axe that Optimus got was Zeta Prime's which you can see in the flashback sequence when he died. Also, Orion's COG shattered when he got shot. After the Iacon 5000, you could see Orion and D-16's broken parts in the wall behind Orion. AND, Orion canonized the Optimus Middle-Finger meme after Elita was fired. You've missed out on some really good facts for junk ones.

7:46 I do like this interpretation of Bumblebee a lot. it fits the story since these guys are still young and not battle hardened folk. Another great example is Orion Pax's silly transformation skit in the first part of the movie. 8:40 I think you might be thinking of Zeta Prime who was in that flashback sequence and was the one bearing the Matrix of Leadership prior to Orion Pax. As for the movie itself, It's one of the more recent ones that, even without being exposed to trailers, it made me want to see it. Something I can't say other movies have done to me. I loved it from start to painful end.

In this continuity Prima was still the first born Prime but Zeta was the Matrix bearer and so defacto leader of the primes. They even show them searching his body specifically for the Matrix first before showing Sentinel try and take it from Zeta after his bretayal. Even before that though on second viewing they show Zeta with the ENERGON AXE which they make a Matrix Bearer exclusive weapon in this film.

I just noticed on watching someone reacting to the movie. On the very last frame of the end credits scene, the Decepticon logo was reflected in such a way that it had the metallic purple design of the classic G1 colour scheme. It’s possible Maximo, Quintus and Megatronous betrayed the Primes but later on rejoined the other Primes. The conflict was less extreme in this iteration (which is a reflection of Pax and D). Zeta and Prima may be the same character that got confused for Sentinel over time.

I really loved how Chris Hemsworth and Brian Henry gave their own takes on Prime and Megs, rather than trying to impersonate their counterparts, which I've heard other voice actors do. The last time I believe their voice actors decided to do their own takes of the characters was in Transformers: Earthspark, which had Alan Tudyk and Rory McCann voicing them.
