I don’t have to say it but I’m going to. That soap is gorgeous. I love black in bright colored soaps. Thank you for sharing your time with us and making this video

That is wicked cool. I'm in love with these colours! The swirling effect gives off an almost dreamy, Alice falling through a portal kind of vibe and I adore it

Julie, so pretty!! I was on the edge of my seat because I used that same f.o. in the spring and had an intention to do a 3 color swirl for a spring soap. Well I screwed up and poured the f.o. in ALL the pitchers at the same time! I use a 40% lye concentration (1.5:1) and add to that OVER MIXING the batter and this f.o.? "Gloppy" would have been a dream! I came within seconds of having 10lbs of soap on a stick, LOL! I saved it and had a layered soap that I still have a few bars of, LOL! I was glad to see you were able to do your gorgeous swirl. I knew better but it was too late. By the way, that is a lovely fragrance and it stays strong and true. Beautiful and inspiring as always! Thank you for sharing! :-)

I love your style and technique in soap making.I wish I could have you as my teacher.😍 The music is cool for this particular soap as well..I wanted to know do you use the same recipe and just add different themes to the soap?
@OpheliasSoapery3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much I appreciate you 🥰 Yes I use the same base recipe ☺️
@retnoarianingrum63315 жыл бұрын
How does the soap not freeze fast? Because I tried the soap several times, and the soap quickly hardened before I poured it into the mould. So it is difficult to do this technique.
@OpheliasSoapery5 жыл бұрын
Soap thickening up can be caused by a number of things... blending too much, having your lye and oils too hot, and fragrances can cause acceleration.
@shannon.N5 жыл бұрын
Do you mind if I ask what fragrance oil you used? Some fo’s are just problematic, like Tobacco Amber from WSP. Also, your recipe may need less hard oils by 1-3%. Keep trying and good luck.

You guys must have tons of money! I have to wait weeks and sometimes months to get more supplies for making soaps. I don’t have supplies to burn through practicing swirls and new fragrances. I literally have 3 four ounce fragrances coming from BB and that’s my allotment for the quarter. I have four recipes only because my family all have different likes and allergies. It took months to get all of my supplies and the slower they come in the harder it is to stay focused on not making enough to keep going. If you have any advice, I’m all ears.
@OpheliasSoapery4 жыл бұрын
It’s hard in the beginning. This is definitely not a cheap hobby. I buy all my supplies with the money I make from selling the soap.
