It’s not just good advice in general but also counteracting Blake’s pull towards self-destruction; reminding her that people care about her and she doesn’t have to destroy herself to make up for past mistakes. Can I just say that, hoping for anything else, that when RWBY reaches its finale that we get an epilogue of Blake taking Yang back to Menagerie, and she reunites with Kali and Ghira, so she can introduce Yang to them? I, for one, will LOVE seeing Blake's parents being introduced to their daughter's partner/girlfriend, and hope they are as welcoming to the pair as we fans have been.

Sun is such a good friend. I think he always knew that Blake's love for Yang was far deeper than her attraction to him. He pushed Blake to go be with Yang & her teammates and prioritized her needs over his own feelings for her. He even told Neptune how "it was never about that" when asked about it in volume 6. I mean even Adam, the crazy jealous ex, knew there was nothing to worry about with Sun. With Sun there was no "I'm gonna destroy everything you love, starting with [him]" or "WHAT DOES SHE EVEN SEE IN YOU?!" moment. He knew too. I just know that Sun is gonna be incredibly happy for them when they get to Vacuo :)

If it weren't for Sun, Blake would've never returned to her friends or mustered the courage to face Adam. Yang would've hated her forever and would've never mustered the courage to face Adam either. Team RWBY wouldn't be the same without Blake. And with that, Yang and Blake confronted their demons and vanquished them once and for all. All was forgiven. I salute you, Sun. You and your team.

The antis don't realize that Sun WAS important to the story. Sun cared for Blake more than himself, and when she needed a friend, he was there. He also knew her team, and more importantly, Yang, needed her more than he did, so he pushed her back to them. I think that when he finds out Blake and Yang are now a couple, he'll be more than happy for both of them! That's just the kind of guy Sun is.

I just realized something, Bees is literally written like a slowburn fanfic but unlike a in fanfic we can’t read the pining inner monologue of the characters and can only see the ship through the actions that are taken and dialogue about each other, thats why people didn’t pick up on it or said it was forced. Its probably the only slowburn queer romance in animation that doesn’t happen right at the end of the story

It wasn't fate, Blake stalked Yang and chose her as her partner in Forever Fall. (According to CRWBY, the black blur Yang sees as she's going through the forest is Blake.) So, there had to be something Blake saw in her!

One of the things people fail to take into account was that the early seasons had a lot of time jumps, so we only get to see the most important events of their time at school. Blake and Yang lived together for a whole school year. They spent every day together and even shared a bunk bed. In Weiss and Yang's heart to heart in volume 5, Weiss even confirms that Yang was closer to Blake than to her. It's unfortunate we never got to see all the slice of life stuff they got up to.

It's interesting, thinking back to the Forbidden Forest initiation in volume 1. Among the various characters, there were three cases of one person seeking out or waiting for a specific partner for the "first person you make eye contact with" rule: - Nora hiding to wait for Ren (sloth noises ftw) - Pyrrha pinning Jaune to a tree to help him "land" - Blake hiding in the bushes until Yang's fight with the Ursae We are now 3-for-3 with those pairs. :)

I watched that episode of Always Open, and I was really surprised by it. My favorite moment wa swhen Blake & Yang were able to defeat Adam together, a common demon that need to be expunged. Another funny moment is in Volume 7, when Blake tries dancing, and Yang teaches her how to dance. When it comes to fighting, Blake & Yang know how each other thinks, and that pays off in Volume 7 when battling the Ace Ops.

A stranger to friends to lovers romance for the ages, speaking as someone that's been watching the show since the Red trailer and shipping BB mostly since Burning the Candle (before that I shipped them but more as a "that'd be nice" vs. "that's totally happening"/serious shipping). They fit each other so well, have the emotional bonds, and have gone through hell; they more than earned their relationship. I wouldn't majorly change anything about their journey, including not adjusting the time it took; cause I wouldn't want some rushed relationship that served to check off a wlw box. Personally I think that both Sun figured out that their dynamic was better left at friends, especially since most of the romantic feelings were on his end. Her heart was with Yang even while separated. I definitely think he'll be firing off fireworks in celebration at finding out BB finally got together Fav moment, I mean obviously the 9x06 scene but setting that aside I think it'd either be the v5 "time slowing and everything else around them disappearing but each other" reunion scene or v6 post-Adam self-defense take down embrace (though this could in itself tie with the v8 head-touch for it's intimacy and softness). In extended media: The bottle cap and ring; Yang's wanting to write a story together with Blake; or the two being tied to a faunus fairy tale about a human warrior and faunus princess that were in love but didn't get to be together where BB will; and the Beacon "not-a-date" dates. Love seeing vids like this, maybe a neutral voice will get through to certain people that have denied reality for years.

I honestly couldn't be happier that Blake and Yang have finally confessed their true feelings for each other. The bridge scene was so beautifully done, and knowing that Monty had planned this from the beginning makes me love them even more! Blake and Yang have been my favorite characters in RWBY since the beginning. I always felt like there was a connection between Blake and Yang that went beyond just being friends or teammates. You can tell that they genuinely care about each other on a level that is so much deeper than just friendship. I can't imagine what it was like for Barbara and Arynn having to keep this a secret for an entire decade. I really hope we get to see Blake and Yang introduce each other to their parents before the series is over! 🖤💛🖤💛🐝🐝

To me the scene in the clouds where they confess their love will always be a masterpiece. The way the music starts softly as the storm starts to clear. The lines they both have, one of them scared of her feelings, the other so sure of them. The visuals of the flowers potentially indicating a love finally coming to full blossom. I cried...then i watched it 10 more times and cried some more. So happy i found this show.

Here, here! I loved this episode and their story. I definitely agree that their bond will stand the test of time in series. And I know they have each other's colors incorporated into their outfits and Blake's weapon, but I look forward to seeing how that'll change once they are back to Remnant and need to ditch the cold weather gear for something more desert friendly. (That said while I doubt it'll happen I can always hope for Yang getting an undercut. Can confirm having that much hair In a hot environment is AWFUL)

I'm gonna be fair, I've talked to plenty of people who considered themselves as "blacksun" shippers but I never came across anyone who was homophobic, at least in the comment section of KZbin. Their main problem from my understanding is the fact that there were generic tropes thrown in there since suns introduction that got people thinking RT was setting sun and Blake up to be a thing. I disagree with their speculation of it after watching the entire series with all the context in mind but I understand their reasons at least. 🤔

His presence wasn’t wasted at all. He was her pillar of support but sharing a commonality which is their Faunus heritage. They had some shared struggles too so she needed support during THAT time even when she refused it. It wasn’t a build up for them to get together. It was for Sun to act as a catalyst to push and motivate Blake into being a voice that leads her people to stand up against Adam but Sun also motivated her to go back to her team because like he said to her, that’s where she needed to be. And he was also a driving force in her returning to Yang’s side. Just remember when he was admitting that he was willing to risk his life for Blake but…he even added that Yang would do the same thing too. He was practically pumping Yang up for Blake and making her realize that running away was a horrible idea. He was a good friend to her and comrade in arms. But what rooms their relationship was the fact that he’s neither a protagonist nor deuteragonist. And he’s a Faunus. Blake ending up with another Faunus would have shown that while she can coexist with other Humans now, she’s still only prefers to date within her species and CRWBY wanted to show that for someone who used to NOT be able to trust the human race, here’s a girl that not only was able to learn to be friends with them but also find love with one of the them. Preferably one that had “plot armor” since they too were a main character. It’s harder to elevate the status of a side character considering it would involve things like hiking up a VA’s salary as well as attempting to try to find ways to fit that side character constantly in a storyline with the title characters of RWBY.

I loved it!!... also.. the fact that the writers and Monty(Rip Monty, you are missed) planned it for 10YRS!.. like, they had to keep it secrete form us for a decade is insane but it was worth it for us true fans of the show and caught it soo early on. Yes, peeps who dont know... Kerry and Monty, had it planned way before the 1st volume, like Monty once said, "Romance is better when its earned rather then just, pushing it on characters" ... Honestly I don't hate the ship. I hate how for the last few seasons that is ALL these two have been. They feel so boring since their ship became all they are about. Yang use to be one of my fav but all the charm of her seem to have vanish and the personality that made her unique is gone. And Blake to me always felt dull. My only hope is with thus finally done we can move on past the will they won't they and we can get more of their personality back and we can see them be more that ship full again.

For a while I had the headcanon of Blake being the one to initiate the romance. This was due to three factors: 1. She read erotica. 2. She had previously been in a relationship. 3. She had become more confident and outgoing due to her character development. And I'm glad that I was proven correct in some way, because during the confession scene, Blake was the first one to realize what they needed to say and when Yang gave her the go-ahead, she acted like it was just compliments or observations in general because of her double-take when Blake starts speaking from the heart. This is further enforced by the small detail right before the kiss of Blake smiling while Yang hesitated a bit. And this is also a nice role-reversal of their characterization in the earlier volumes and also in the fandom, since Yang was seen as the more confident of the two, which actually led to a cute piece of fanart comparing how Yang flirted in fanfiction ("Hey, Kitty~") vs how Yang would probably flirt in canon ("H-hey, is your butt a keg? Cause I'd like to tap that ass! Hehe...")

I was only vaguely aware of Bumblebee and watching V4 i was like "Damn, Blake leaving seems to hurt more than the missing BODY PART....damn". I doubt Blake ever had romantic feelings for Sun but warmed up to him seeing his genuine good will and Heart....but after Adam, trusting herself with someone who is kind of forceful in his aproach would have taken years, if ever. Huh, i gotta be honest, when I first started watching RWBY, the Hints for Bumblebee to actually potentially become Canon at some point completely flew over my head, actually the mere thought of Bumblebee ever becoming more than just a Fan-Ship never even crossed my mind, simply because it was a Same-Sex Ship and at around the time I had grown accustomed to such Ships, especially when between Main Characters, mostly happening in Fan-Projects and specific kinds of Japanese Series and probably would never happen in any kind of Official Work, So, having it actually happen now and learning it was pretty much the plan all along, even in today’s day and age, I still ended being a little surprised by it, but appreciative of it all the same, However, i still wonder if it really had to take this long to happen? Anyway, it’s going to be interesting to see how they take things from here on out, if they will take anything further or if that Episode is all that me get regarding Bumblebee. Also, i wonder if any other Ships could become Canon?

i constantly hear and see all this hate for bumblebee, and, although i can agree with many points that have been brought up, i, personally, really am glad for yang and blake for their pairing and becoming a couple. i wouldn't mind if this pairing didn't end up happening, and i wouldn't mind blake ending up being with sun, for example, and rooster teeth really could've made bumblebee happen in a much better way, sure, but i really did like how rooster teeth chose to make yang x blake a thing. i am satisfied with how yang and blake became a couple, and i am satisfied with them becoming a thing, despite everything else and all of the hate for this couple.

I'm going to be honest with you people. I was originally against this ship. I preferred BlackSun because Sun and Blake had some good chemistry and I liked Yang's allure to boys. I have nothing against LGBTQ, it was just me. But over time, Bumbleby grew on me. I like the dynamic of these two girls and I think they do make a great couple. But I hope they don't canonize WhiteRose. That's a deal breaker for me. I don't want all four of the main characters to be lesbians. Again, I have nothing against LGBTQ and I'm not trying to offend anybody. I think it'll be overkill I just want their to be some diversity with the main characters like maybe two Bi's, one lesbian and one straight. Or two lesbians, one Bi and one straight. I'm not sure what you mean by "allure to boys" Anyway as for the other part, I personally see: - Yang as either pan or lesbian - Blake as her confirmed and properly toned bi - Ruby as Ace (w/ Penny as her romantic love) - Weiss I could see being bi. Mostly cause of Weiss's interactions towards Pyrrha but also towards ones like Bruce in the JL crossover comics. Was never a fan of her with Neptune and Jaune would be an "okay...fine." option now that their characters have grown from the early days of him hitting on her, even though she showed no interest in him. Look, this is comming from a bumbleby shipper. Just because you don't like the ship, it doesn't make you are "against LGBT". You don't need to apologise for anything. You have your opinions and your own way of thinking and have the right to verbalize them. There are several personal reasons to dislike a certain ship, being it straight or not. There's a couple of issues with this pair Yang has mommy issues due to abandonment that was sorted out in latter volume, but before this Blake abandoned her ex boyfriend, ignored or didn't notice Ilia's feelings and possibly led on Sun and was abusive towards him both physically and mentally during there time to and at Menagerie, oh and she abandoned Yang at the end of the Beacon fight. Also Blake and her issue with the white fang and her focus on that why ignoring things like Velvet getting bullied. how does Yang even like a person like this? Blake left Adam due to him not caring about the crew members of a train, Yang unleashed shotgun shells into a nightclub that had a lot of civilians and attacked staff that before the attack were doing nothing illegal and she sexually assaulted the owner. Yang also drove her bike very recklessly during the mech scene with Roman on a highway adding to the endangerment of civilians. then there's the kill count of the white fang members in Mt Glenn and on the train from it. Blake left her ex-boyfriend for similar.

One thing that I hate in their story - CRWBY forgot that Blake doesn't believe Yang when she said that she didn't hit Mercury. It was, it was hard for Yang. And nobody talking about it later.

The main point of that moment has an underlining implication, Blake elaborated her reason as to not trusting Yang, and it has to do with the person who was once precious to her doing something similar. The implication behind that moment is to point out that yang is precious to Blake but she is worried sh may end up being the same as Adam. So it's not forgotten, it's just foreshadowing 2 specific moments in volume 6, the talk in the barn and the final fight against Adam.

He had so much complexity and potential to be a long running villain however was just wasted for that one volume to be killed off like that. I wish Blake’s story revolved LESS romantic interests and focused on just two. It’s videos like this that make me wish Sun, my favorite character, did not exist in the main show. Blake’s story is muddied with four different romantic interests, Adam, Illya, Yang and Sun. If Adam was just her mentor, Illya being a former friend, Yang being the one actually interested and Sun being… well, not there, I feel like the romance would be a lot more natural. For example, what if in Volume 1 and 2 was just Yang learning about the White Fang movement from Blake instead of Sun, who should know about this as a faunus himself. It would be Yang taking initiative and interest which could lead to more personal feelings. Also taking out Sun from the story would cut out Black Sun (My heart…). No more blushing in the Vytal Festival and none of that teasing for Blake and Sun, just focus more on Yang and Blake’s development. As Bumblebee is right now, I find the ship forced. Quite literally since the Punderstorm forced them to open up about feelings they may not have been ready to reveal at their own time. But I hope it’s smoother sailings after they escape Ever After.

Sun had an important role in Blake’s life as a pillar of support from being a fellow Faunus. Their shared connection through their race is what made them connect as friends and give her an outlet to vent especially during the time she still felt weary and distant towards most humans so she needed someone who understood her struggles at that time. And he was the person who finally convinced her that she needed to go back to her team and also her partner Yang. Remember when Sun had mentioned that his injury was something he would be willing to go through for Blake? He also added that Yang would have done the same for Blake. So he was a catalyst and a voice of reason which is a good role to have. What dooms him is the fact that he’s neither a protagonist no a deuteragonist and more importantly, he’s a “Faunus.” The idea was for Blake to show how much she had learned to not only to coexist with the human species but to also find love with one since as a story trope it helps bridge the gap between Faunus and Humans.
