Ashwin, you are a legend, and your class cannot be undone by petty team management politics. All the best and God bless.
@shubhamkumar-gx5vxАй бұрын
why have such baseless assumption? Who would you play as a single spinner on such tracks? Jadeja is a much better batter and spin bowling isn't working in these pitches. Everyone in team management loves Ashwin, especially Rohit. He chose Ashwin as a part of 2022 t20 world cup and 2023 world cup squads
@dsdsds636Ай бұрын
The reason why Ashwin didn't play overseas as much coz the Indian batsmen themselves couldn't take the onus of batting. They couldn't just stop shitting around. Take Australia's case for example. Have Australia ever played Ashton Agar over Lyon just coz Agar bats slightly better than Lyon? No. They go with their 3 quicks and their best spinner. While India more often than not decided to play their best allrounder Jadeja rather than their best spinner Ashwin. I wrote the following statement on this channel during the WTC Final 2023 as well and this stays true over so many years when Ashwin missed out on overseas Tests. Yes, technically, Jadeja played in Ashwin's place many a times overseas but figuratively it was Kohli, Rahane, Pujara and Rohit who played in place of Ashwin just coz they couldn't do their job and needed Jadeja as a safety measure at the backend. Wishing Ashwin a good life after retirement and hoping to see him in the comm box with his witty takes.
@rahulsrinivas3224Ай бұрын
Jadeja played at no.7. it's a completely different situation to Australia, where Agar would have played at 8/9 if Lyon was dropped.

@ayushjaiswal9863Ай бұрын
Sorry, but india can afford only one full spinner in team, india need batting all-rounder and bowling all rounder, and for that purpose in today lineup, it's so difficult for Ashwin to be picked, becoz, there waiting lineup of washing Sundar, sai Kishore, axar Patel, etc.who can bat also , and they are good spinners. Yup Ashwin needed in odi, that's needed to be blamed, there no odi much matches happen.

An emotional roller coaster of a day! I don't know which event pulled at my heart strings the more: the collapse of Australia (33 for 5!); the draw as a result of the menacing clouds and torrential rain or the retiring of the awesome Ashwin? Yes, I know which tugged at my heart strings the most: Ashwin retiring! That the sun is going down on his illustrious career in the middle of an Indian/Australian series is so sad. That he was told he would not be playing at Melbourne or Sidney, so packed his bags is even sadder. Someone once said that all political careers end in failure. Can the same be said of cricketers? Cricket can be so cruel. One match and your juices and runs are flowing because you are in the zone or the flow; next you are out for a boneless duck after falling for the allure of howitzer offside ball. There must be a life lesson in there somewhere, perhaps as many as the number of ways to get out in cricket. The sun may have gone down in Blighty at present as we approach our winter solstice, but is it also starting to go down on the current Australian team? Still there were some rays of escaping sunshine: *"Nominative determinism" "Chili scrambled eggs" "Two dicks and an umbrella" "The Benny" There are so many aptronyms in the wonderful world of cricket but this is not the day for collecting them as it has a melancholy air not helped by the relentless rain. Come back tomorrow. * Geoff Lemon fruit seller * Adam Collins lexicographer * Richard Illingworth apothecary * Richard Kettleborough tea sommelier * Ricky Ponting double agent * Ravichandran Ashwin phoenix Roses are red Violets are blue Farewell dear Ashwin We will miss you too!

I think majority of indian fans are not interested in wat happened on the pitch but only interested to know why Ashwin took the decision now ,whether he was told he won’t be involved anymore in this series which angered him etc. Looks like he will be in the list of Indian bowlers who were treated badly by the team management during a series. Let’s hope Ashwin will spill the whole story once back in India as BCCI can’t touch him anymore with their rules.
@niralasirka5635Ай бұрын
The issue is when R Ashwin reveals his side of the story, Rohit, Virat and the GG pr team will come up to save their image, which will eventually get dirtier, we have seen this with Harbhajan Singh vs MSD case, or VVS vs MSD or even take Virat vs Ambati Raidu
@roobanloganathan6498Ай бұрын
@ If Ashwin wants to spill the beans on how he was treated during his time in the test team, there will be a few chief coaches, captains n selectors who will be in trepidation whether their names will be mentioned. People like Shastri, Kohli, Dravid n Rohit were involved in some questionable decisions made against Ashwin and should be called out.
@Lathi33Ай бұрын
Treated badly? I don't understand. U want to give Ashwin a game over team's preferences? Ofcourse Ashwin is the better bowler. But bowling is not India's problem. It's batting. And they just wanted a better batter at 8 and he's medium pacer to boot.
@vijaysagar4494Ай бұрын
Mate you hit the nail on the wall. The problem for this mid way retirement from Ashwin squarely goes to the new coach Gauntam Gambhir. He is the same guy get into trouble with Punter making some indecent comment before boarding the plane in India for the BGT
@SerioussoccerfanYTАй бұрын
I don't see India winning at Melbourne. The worst thing that happened in this game was Jadeja scoring runs as this confirms his inclusion for the Boxing Day test. Ashwin is the better bowler for the remaining two tests but he's retired. Simply put, I don't see India having the bowling attack to take 20 aussie wickets. The main difference between the sides during the series is the fact that Australia's top 3 have the ability to take the shine off the new ball by playing the waiting game early on unlike their Indian counterparts. An appearance in the WTC final awaits the defending champs.
@thiru_asc1Ай бұрын
Yeah Ashwin will be badly missed,this was very poorly handled by the indian team management,I think just Players are dominating this series Bumrah with the ball ,head with the batting ,but Australia has a better bowling attack with no Shami around and Ashwin not to Play, Australia Should win if Head continues with his terrifc form .

About Mitch Marsh - "His runs are more important than his wickets." Aus are afraid he could go the Stokes way and he's only dishing out lolllies, dibbly dobblies. Be that as it may, if runs are the main criterion, then they should look at a proper batsman like Mike Hussey was at no. 6.

the top 3 are unable to buy a run even if they sold something valuable for it. Leave alone all day, they can't bat half a session. You will see this played out in Melbourne as well if Aus stick with this order (wholesale changes at this point in the series is not advisable) There's nervousness writ large on their faces when they see Bumrah and they try their best against him but the chap at the other end also goes on to benefit from that.

The Indian batsmen failed miseably so far and simply cannot face the Aussie trios. Albeit there are some runs from KL Rahul so far, but there is no consistency in the Indian batsmen. All these guys let down their bowlers. Jadeja is a good fielder and all rounder but he has to bowl and work in tandem with Ashwin as Jadeja can control the runs and Ashwin can take the wickets. Neverthless, both Ashwin and Jadeja SPIN BOWLING can be more suitable in MCG and SCG with seamers Bumrah, Siraj and Deep. Half way through Ashwin retiring means the team management (the Coach) don;t want his service and may have told him to warm the bench!!
