Would you take the scenic 24 hour train route from Amsterdam to Rome? Or would you opt for a 2 hour flight instead? Let us know 👇

Always the train, far less stressful. The vacation starts immediatly. In the past it was possible to take a sleeper from Brussels to Milan.

That's the nice thing about Europe, you don't need to have a big budget to still travel and visit many countries. Another great video guys. 😊🌷

love the groovy jazz music and final shot of truffles on pasta . . . I hope there are more Rome videos from you . . . my husband and I took the high speed Italo from Rome to Florence at Christmas this year and it was great. My ears were kind of popping from the speed, but it was worth it. I would absolutely do this train ride . . . I don't know about my husband, he loves showers. Maybe.

Travelling long distance is usually a streneous thing. But this trip seemed to be alright ;-) I have only been to Rome once for work but I still had some time to check out the Vatican (nearest point of interest to my hotel then ;-) It's great to explore Europe (and the rest of the world ). 🙂

Rome might be too far but I've done DB to Basel and then a Swiss train to Montreux. Swiss train are very nice (and expensive)

How was your return trip? Everything in opposite order? We're taking the night train direct from Utrecht to Stockholm in 2023, a long trip but that's part of the fun.

we ended up flying back, but it would have been everything in the opposite order! i think the only major difference on the return was the train left basel a bit later (23:00), but that meant it also would arrive a bit later too!
