Funny how the roll reversal makes such a difference! Usually it’s the stay at home woman that finds the house small and cramped! Now he knows what it’s like 😅
@angelbulldog49342 ай бұрын
Before you decide you need a bigger house, try a thorough cleaning and purging. You probably have space you're not using well. David and I would butt heads on the budget thing. When I set it, I'm not going over by even one dollar.
@allalala99162 ай бұрын
Truth. Too much stuff is the reason people think they don't have enough space. We are a family of 6 in a 1300 sq ft home. Everything is organized and put away. I don't feel cramped.

The Love It house looked so good after the reno. But even before the reno it wasn’t *that* bad. The bathrooms were ugly, sure, but they all worked fine. Speaking of bathrooms: the one Hilary did get to renovate is lovely. I want to rip that shower out and put it in my own bathroom 😃

It’s a British expression for ranches. Weird, because a 1920’s house with lots of built-ins low roofs and front porch with a small entrance area (people’s reactions to 1919 Spanish flu), that’s what we call a bungalow in the US.

As far as I'm aware, most homeowners don't have a mortgage, and many homebuyers don't require financing. I might be in error, If my understanding is right

It will, if anything, worsen. Affordable homes won't be available for much longer. Therefore, I will advise everybody who wants to do anything to do it right now because tomorrow's prices will look lower than they did today. I believe that frenzy brought on by rogue inflation will continue until the Fed tightens its controls much further. It is impossible to tear off the bandage halfway.

During a market slump, you might sell your brokerage account while simultaneously buying back stocks or bonds in your retirement account. Bonds or money market funds in brokerage accounts do not necessarily result in higher taxes. My F.A. Lois Jean Frueh consistently devises a cunning plan that works for me.
@bossqueen_lala30982 ай бұрын
Undoubtedly, the F.A. you mentioned has some value. I reran the scenarios after the first time, this time allowing for a 20% reduction in my retirement savings (in the event of a significant market decline). I felt reassured with my plan and my savings after doing that.

I love it all except one thing Hillary...the mirror in the bathroom with the 2 sinks is to short or rather not wide enough ...it should line up with the end of the sink..or two seperate mirrors without wall lamps ...Oh Lord I can´t stand stuff like that. 😆
@SuzanneBaruch2 ай бұрын
Doing it that way would have greatly increased the cost. The mirror could have been an inch or two wider, but that would cost more money -- and if it's not a standard size, that would be even MORE money to have one custom made. In order to have a full-size mirror, there would have to be holes cut to accommodate the lighting; deleting the sconces is not a workable option at all. Also, there's a power outlet to the right of the mirror which was probably required due to code, so you can't extend the mirror over it without again cutting a custom hole in the mirror. Then you'd have to buy a mirrored cover for the outlet unless you wanted it to look janky. More money.
