Bunmalgirri Cultural Careers Dubbo

Bunmalgirri is a Wiradjuri word which means making and doing into the future. This program is a collaboration between the National Aboriginal Sporting Chance Academy (NASCA), Food Futures Company and the NSW Government Department of Education, Regional Industry Education Partnership (RIEP) program which aims to encourage Aboriginal female students to explore cultural careers for their future.
Eighty female Aboriginal students in Years 9 - 12 had the opportunity to hear directly from Aboriginal business owners, leaders and mentors about how they have created a career with a focus on their culture and heritage.
