The Fir VxV is super slept on. Years later it's still one of the best at its price point.

NE4 tuning is just awful. It has good detail but it's just muddy sounding bass response. It's like they just muffled everything down low. Im sending mine away for a re-tune.

I didn't know they offer the service to retune an IEM

@@rnarexperience they don't but I work with a guy who does retuning. Tbh the krypton and xenon also measure similarly in the bass curve like the NE6 as well. I'm not sure what Fir was thinking when they tuned them with bass starting at 600hz. The highest a bass hump should ever start should be around 300-400hz and conventionally they would be even lower between 200-300. The whole line crosses way too high into the lower mids which is why they sound so poor.
