What a terrific way to disguise a long, thin garden behind a Victorian Row House. It looks so chic and in keeping with the style of the house. The faux back gate and trellis surround do so much for the space. Your sister is lucky to have you yo help her, but I did have to laugh. Just like my sister, left to her own devises, there is a patch of weeds and not much else.

The trees completely changed the space. Before, your sister's garden was like a fish bowl. Now, I don't notice the neighbor's house behind her at all. Beautiful transformation!

Haha love how different Bunny and Sofia. One completely in the family tradition of horticulture and the other rebelling against it Re. her garden; if someone can afford a place like that in London, they can get a gardener in for a half day a week to do all that needs doing to keep it looking great.

beautiful garden in a small space - I love clematis. But watching from Australia, I always cringe when I see ivy planted - it is such a curse in my small regional town. Has the fashion for it changed after 20 years, or does it not become a massive pest in the UK?

I don’t know why anyone plants ivy. It is so invasive and will overtake the entire garden in no time. Such a destructive plant. It chokes out & kills everything including trees.
