Maruti Ignis Mileage Test || Petrol AMT Automatic Fuel Economy Run

How much could I squeeze out from my 2 year old Maruti (Nexa) Ignis AGS 1.2-litre petrol hatchback? Watch the entire video to know more!

I got 28kmpl Date 6 july 2021 Ac level - 2 Outside temperature- 37° Route- Saharanpur-chandigarh Speed - tried to maintain 65kmph Session time- 1 hour Then i drive at 120kmphfor another 1 hour got 17.2kmpl At 75-80km/h got 22.2 kmpl Observation- at 65kmph we will get maximum milaege but it is considered very slow for highways and very boring also, this speed needs patience 😂😂 75-80kmph is suitable speed range and milaege is also good. if you getting anything above 20kmpl at 80kmph it is best.

MID is not 100% accurate but i think it is 80-90% accurate which is a good thing. I calculated my average manually after the trip and the calculations were approximately equal to MID data. According to MID i got 22.6 kmpl for whole trip Manual calculation 402 kmpl Fuel consumed 18.75 litre at Rs 96/l Total fuel cost 1800 Mileage i got 21.44 kmpl (my calculation)

WoW ! 27.55 KPL on a controlled speed smooth road run in non populated Janak Puri flyover is simply WOW !! However, the display showed 32.X, which is way off the mark .. Remember, it was continually on the rise from 30.X onwards. What could be the reason ? Is this calculated in real time through a fuel flow meter sort of gadget ? If yes, (unlikely) it should be fairly accurate. Your tips on increasing fuel economy are spot on ! In fact, the speed cameras in various places have also contributed to people keeping speeds in check !

By getting cruise control it will do wonders but build quality which is the one of most prominent factor of buying a car is not there . Tiago will be good option is you are willing to compromise on average little bit.

Thank you for a nice informative video. It would be so good if the car's reported mileage was a little less optimistic and a little more realistic. With so much ECU power and metering, it should be quite possible to accurately report mileage. My current old but comfortable Aveo (2011) gives between 10 and 12 kmpl in congested Kolkata. I am thinking of an Ignis as a replacement soon and this video was very useful.

I get 20 on an average in city with a combination of normal and intense traffic without AC. With AC it's between 15-16. On my recent trip to Delhi via the Agra Lucknow expressway I got an average of 25. Have a 2021 alpha manual.

That's true. I too have zeta 2021 model and it gives the same figure as urs. It even touches 33 kmpl without ac with speed limit of 65 to 75. It drops to 28kmpl when I drive at 100kmpl. Best car...

Bunny bro I 2 own Ignis since 3 years n it's 26000 kms driven same model as of urs petrol AMT. But it's giving me very disgusting fuel economy i.e 13-14 kms . As I live in Dehradun- n my driving speed is 60 kmph . So i should get an average of 18 kms per litre

I have s.presso bought in 15 th July 2020 it's a vxi+amt version silky silver in colour to date I have driven 41,950 km exact, the average fuel economy by tank to tank filling is 23.14km/litre for the entire period, but the digital panel it shows 26.8km/litre then there must be some error in the digital calculation. by the way all my driving is done with AC on in one position. the s.presso is budget friendly frugal car for middle income family. the negative I found so far was stiff suspension and the head light throw[beam] in dim is very limitted.

32??? seriously?. Here, this will clear your doubt, it hardly gives 11-13KMPL in city having '88 - 92' Driving score reported by Suzuki connect app which is great, I've calculated it many times and also considered Suzuki connect app data while calculating the mileage because it accurately gives the %age of the petrol. I'll be surprised if I'm getting 15KMPL in the city, Forget about the highways as Polo and other cars are also good on highways. This thing consumes a lot of fuel.

Drive ona light foot. Maintain constant speed of 80 kmph on highways. Less gear shifting and clutch usage you can see lots of difference
