IGNIS ALPHA MANUAL 2019 MODEL BS4. Driven -7789 Km till date. Long solo Drive -889Km from Pune to Bangalore on 11th Nov 2020. Owner's Experience & observation on both city & highway. *Observation on city drive condition* - Excellent for city drive condition. Observed that ORVM are in smaller size compare to my DZIRE, needs caution & carefulness during left lane changing. " C" Pillar & headrest are little obstruction. If u are daily solo driver then remove both left side front & rear head rest . It will be more ease for the city drive left lane. One has to extra careful when 3 passenger are seated at rear seat with headrest & you need to change to left side... City mileage - 18.7kmpl an its consistently delivering with AC on in Pune bumper to bumper traffic condition... NVH level are little on higher side if rev too much but it's on acceptable level if you are a light footed driver. Driver seat is perfect... *Observations on Long highway Solo Drive* Pune -Bangalore is a superb 6 lanes two way highway.Travelled 889km from home to home. Since i was solo driver i have remove my left side front seat & backseat headrest.. thus increasing my IRMV mirror coverage & easing my drive. Encountered heavy rain in night in ghats/ hills with low visibility.. Ignis came out with flying color in these worse drive condition. Day-night mirrors, fog lamps rear window wiper were very useful during this type of condition... Found changing to left side lane little cumbersome due rear "C" pillar & small ORVM(Left side). One need to be cautious while changing to left lane and extra extra careful when having 3 passenger seated at rear seat...it becomes difficult... but One get to use to it ... Recommendations for Base SIGMA owner: Replace your plain Jane type IRVM with day-night type IRVM . Also add fog lamps to front & rear bumper.. These will increase your car's safety during night heavy rainy condition in ghats.. Since your model doesn't come with rear wiper rear fog lamp will help the other cars to detect you earlier thus alerting & enchancing their reaction time. Highway Mileage -24.7Kmpl to 25.5kmpl. My speed was 80 to 90 kmph .. and for some time 110kmpl.. Body roll is well taken care off with the stiff shock obsorber.... Adverse for pot holes, jerks are felt more on rear seat with thud sound audible inside cabin. Tyre noise is heard on cement roads if rev above 100 kmpl and not on bitumen road. Wind shear noise heard above 110kmph... NVH level is little poor but not that bad or worse it's managable Power to weight ratio is superb. Overtaking on highway. hill climb. No loss of power felt even when AC is on ... even on 3 4 & 5 gear it can pull till above 110kmpl . I love my FUnky punchy cute little rocket in pocket... My big ar#e IGNIS Alpha.... I like the rear profile of the car 😍 . Looks are subjective....

I have recently bought Ignis zeta MT a week ago. A very good car and truly a value for money. I have seen many comments on Steering return issue. Just want to update that there is no problem with steering return for IGNIS 2020 model. I.e. newly launched one. Its a best value for money for a car within 7 laksh(on road price). Zeta model now gets 7 inch infotainment as well. Very happy with my purchase.

This is 'active return' which basically assists the steering to come back to normal post a u-turn. Most cars have it. Earlier IGNIS did not have it - however new BS6 model owners are reporting this issue has been resolved

AGS or AMT, does have a little lag in changing gears no doubt but it is worth it in traffic where you left foot and left hand remain free. That said, Bunny's Ignis is facing issues with jerks / judders from the gearbox in peak, start-stop traffic. Highway manners are as good as the manual one - no worries on that front

Yes - suspension is definitely on the stiffer side and you can feel the bumps easily. But that helps when you want to drive the car in a spirited manner - dynamics are good

Yes - that is called as 'active return' - it is missing in the Ignis. However, a team member has booked the BS6 Ignis and he says during the test drive, he could sense the active feature - may be Maruti has corrected it. We will drive his car soon to report this

Yes - the Ignis does not have something called as 'active return' feature for the steering wheel. The steering does not return to centre point after taking a u-turn. This is a big issue for the Ignis
