I am from Slovakia, and I live in a village right next to the airport where 9 of these jets had home,. The pilots flew these jets in crazy formations right above our houses, it was crazy and unbelievably loud. By the way, they had the same color scheme as this RC jet.

How could anyone thumbs down that flight/show? It was glorious! I know the scale is over the top, but it was amazing to whitness. Easy to believe it was full scale. Like your own personal military air show. Also the scenery and white cloud back drop was perfect. Kudi to who was on the stick. Watching this made me envious of the aircraft. Awesome jet. great flying and maneuvers. would be awesome if someone could create a safe afterburner with this bird. would have been better to hear the turbine screaming than the music. Music was ok but a jet engine is better.

So why not use landing flaps for landing? The use of less than half flaps increases lift/drag. The use of landing flaps increases drag/lift. The use of speed brakes allows for increased thrust on approach, which aids in a more stable approach. With the correct use of both of these devices should allow for a real stable approach at lower airspeeds. Beautiful model! Just curious.

The two air foils that drop down on the underside of the fuselage between the landing gear. Speed brakes.

+Bud Worl No they aren't. They are undercarriage doors for covering the wheels. They are sequenced so that they open to let the wheels down then they close. They open to let the wheels up and then they close. The model does not have air brakes; it has flaps on the trailing edge of the wings, inboard of the ailerons.

You are indeed correct. I will need to watch videos to the very end. I just spotted the wheel doors at the beginning of the video. They are air brakes and I agree they will have no real effect during the taxi. I wonder why he didn't use them during approach.

Great video...! But I can't help thinking either, it's pilot was a little gun shy lets say, when taking off, because it looked under powered, or it is underpowered and in need of a larger engine, with more thrust...! I does however perform splendidly when climbing before making it's inverted loops, and dives, showing it's pilot has great talent, so I have nothing other to believe that it is underpowered and unable to achieve the great power needed to really wow the viewers...! But all in all I give it a great big three thumbs up as a great video nonetheless....! My salute to it's pilot great flight...!

+Zachary Mohrmann The weight of the plane is 68 kg, while the engine produces max 40 kg of thrust, so it is quite marginally powered for a model plane being. The full size has even less power to weight ratio.

Well a friend I suppose then... None the less a skilled flyer who would only have know to bank, and level off to gain speed to climb, and gain altitude... A maneuver used by real pilots who fly underpowered aircraft, and find themselves in such position on take off.. It is a problem not unheard of by many pilots flying experimental aircraft, and sometimes with extremely tragic results...! My compliments all the same...
