Ms Gina. You warm my heart. I am a 70 year old African American woman and in 1960 was raised in our family home on an all Italian Street in Park Slope Brooklyn. Our homes and back yard was connected to the most amazing Italian family. There was never a bitter word from those lovely people on our street. The neighbors two daughters were the same age as my sister and me. We grew up as life long friends. Their daughters along with my sister and I returned over the years to share kids and visit our respective parents. Ms Salvina was their mom and the dad was a postal worker that she used to call Anthony. (Antho-nee😊) She and you could have been sisters. I smile and recall the countless Italian meals and priceless memories we shared with the homeowners and families on 10th Street between 5th and 6th. God bless you and your family Ms. Gina.

Grandmas cook with such grace and details and so much love. No matter the time of day, if you ask for something, they do not hesitate to do it for us. Moms, they'd think for a second lol. But not our grannies 😍🙏🏼♥️ and in my case I'd like to add my older sister. She never says no.

They are what the world is missing. People think strong women are strippers. Nope, strong women are the foundation of families. Mine were Italian and native American. Best women ive ever known and the only type i will marry. High standards these days.

Grandma's live to Love you, to teach you, and to selflessly make you happy! They are slow moving superheros for your soul! One thing you don't have is enough time. If your lucky enough to have one or more grandma's, spend time with them. Not for them, for both of you! Learn to cook or sew or garden, nothing tastes better than unconditional Love. But most of all, learn how to be a better mom and dad today, and how to be the best grandma and grandpa soon! They never go out of style and our World needs them more than ever. PEACE

Every single time I went to her house she always had fresh baked pies and homemade jelly. She made the best biscuits and gravy breakfast. Any day of the week if you drove by her house right at sun up you would see her gardening in her yard. Miss my grandma, mom, and all of my uncles. Hi Gina, my family comes from Modena, where did you grow up. My grandma Maria and my mom Gina taught me the same recipe's that you make. I learned and in later years I became a chef and had an Italian restaurant in the Bronx in the 60's. I love to watch you cook, it reminds me of growing up in Brooklyn and cooking every Sunday. Your recipe's are exactly the same as grandmas! I lived in Italy for a while in the 60's and want to go back next year, my family is all gone and I watch you just like I used to watch them. Thank you very much!

I have never seen someone put so much passion into meals! She is a true treasure, and we could all learn a lot from this lady. She must be a great mother and grandmother. This is what feminism has ruined, nurturing the children and taking pride in your family. Way to go grandma. ❤

My father used to make hard boiled eggs and he would take off the shells and put the hard boiled eggs in the sauce . He put a hard boiled egg on a plate of spaghetti with sauce over it. It tasted so good. I made that for my friends and they were surprised that the egg would taste good with sauce. Also he use to fry broccoli in the skillet and sprinkle it on top of the sauce when he made spaghetti. Very good also! When I saw you put in chopped up hard boiled eggs in your Lasagna it reminded me of my Dad. He passed away in 2017. Thank you for this video. It made me think of him and my grandmother Rose. She made everything from scratch like you. I miss them and our big Sunday dinners.

She cooks just like my grandmother Bennedeta use to. She spoke the broken English / Italian as well. Great cook. Years back after she passed I inherited her Italian cookbooks. In my youth I remember visiting Bennedeta every Sunday and there was always a big pot of sauce bubbling on the stove with Sausage and Meatballs as big as baseballs. I learned a lot from her just watching her cook. Love your videos. Keep them coming.

Gina you really are a ray of sunshine and your passion for home cooking really shines through on screen. Your videos are full of loveliness and they are a joy to watch 💚❤️ I always love to make lasagna with leftover Sunday sauce on Monday as the meatballs really do taste best when they have been in the sauce for a while, all those flavours get enriched and it really adds so much deliciousness to a lasagna, just lovely and so hearty. Plus the adding of parsley and black pepper into the ricotta adds so much flavour. Delicious recipe Gina 💚❤️

=( I used to have a nice old Italian lady as a neighbour, she lived off pension and extra benefits because her husband had fought in WW2 and died, but man she was so nice, would make whole trays full of lasagna for the whole street, she lived on that street for most of her life, back then everyone trusted each other and she used to babysit me, she'd just randomly show up at your door and give you a pie, she really was born from a kinder generation. Really reminds me of this video.
