@@godzillafamKeep it up, I’m sure you’ll get there someday, but you won’t if you just quit. It takes time and it will never be easy to get where you want to be, but as long as you have motivation, it being your own goal, pressure, or maybe even a person you love, it makes achieving that goal so much easier
The old OSTs from Blue Archive are quite powerful. I usually listen to the newer ones, but when I go back to the older tracks, they bring me to tears. I’m not sure why, but listening to them makes me think of everything related to this game I love. So many memories flood my mind. It’s truly nostalgic. Thank you for being with all of us for the past 3.5 years. It’s been such a warm and happy journey in this life to have discovered something so precious. ❤❤
I still can’t believe this game is still 2 years old crazy to think that i was chilling with my mates at school when this game was already thriving. I think the only regrets i have right now is the fact the i haven’t met this game earlier. I became a sensei in april which I actually think it was not as bad because the final vol of the first arc just came out. And 春(haru) in japan starts from march and ends in may so i started in between which was just amazing considering the story mentions aoharu quite often. Ao(青) means blue and haru = spring.

Have you gotten to Volume 3 yet? I mean even Volume 1 had some serious moments but Vol. 3 was insane. That was honestly the point where I thought BA had a good story, way better than what I expected out of a Gacha game especially coming out of Genshin with it's imo boring ass story. Honestly just expected the game to be lighthearted, silly, and comfy all the way and not too serious. Just taking a crazy concept like bulletproof, haloed, schoolgirls that sometimes have inhuman appendages being given free reign of literal micro states with actual militaries, politics, and economies and rolling with it. But I didn't expect them to ramp up the political intrigue as hard as they did in Vol. 3. And the characters were so good even if the story was pretty simple.

@@McCaroni_Sup I just got into BA recently and coming from other games, the story was unexpectedly fire holy shit. I did NOT expect a story of that depth in a silly little "coming-of-age" and "light-hearted" game. Volume 1 and 2 was already above average in terms of storytelling, but volume 3 took it up to the next level for me. I have never read a story that hooked me like the Eden Treaty did. Even considering I read a lot of novels in the past. Blue Archive's writers are just (*chef's kiss*)

@@macchiato_1881 Honestly the best part about BA is that the writers understand that simple stories do not equal bad stories. On the contrary, a simple story can be great not despite its simplicity, but oftentimes because of it. The conflicts in most BA stories are very simple, but the fact that they're relatable, carried by interesting characters, and easy to understand is precisely what makes them hit hard. A simple story done well is better than a complex story done poorly. Often, writers think that making stories complex automatically gives them more depth, when sometimes all it does is make them hard to follow and therefore less effective. That isn't to say complex stories are bad - I certainly enjoy the political intrigue and the multifaceted conflicts in games like the Trails series. But that complexity has to be handled with care to be effective. I honestly like BA's approach of just ignoring the lore for the most part. Too many gachas get so stuck up in their lore that it becomes a chore to read (*cough* Mihoyo games). They dump a bunch of lore on you and expect you to follow. But BA focuses more on the writing of its characters, which makes you care more about the hijinks they get up to. The characters themselves can be simplistic at times, but they're all so unique and charming that it's hard not to like this game just because of the characters. And honestly, the characters should always be the focus in a gacha - I mean, they're literally the whole point of the gacha system. I honestly get happy when I pull a new character even if they are kinda bad meta-wise just because I like their character. Like I never use Iroha but I still freaked tf out when I got her lol. The last thing I like about BA's story is that it isn't a hopelessly depressing story. I don't know why it's so popular for gachas set in contemporary settings to be so bleak and depressing, but IMO it's a bit overdone. BA does get pretty dark at points, but the fact that most BA content is lighthearted helps give the dark moments more weight. I also like how BA's story is more hopeful; the dark moments in the game are less depression-porn and more adversity to be overcome to achieve a better outcome. Like Hifumi said, I much prefer those kinds of stories.

@@McCaroni_Sup Only started playing BA a week ago, and I've gone through the first 4 chapters (though chapter 3 volume 3's part 25 is a bit of a roadblock =n=) and I agree with your points to a large extent! I wanna add on to your final point about gacha games having depressing stories - having played Arknights, I see there's a lot of moments of hopelessness, that the world of Terra is just cruel. I guess gacha games are leaning towards depresso because it's *different* from slice-of-life-style stories where it's the simple problems in life that lead to meaningful discoveries. But a lot of the best stories are the about "the everyday", what happens in the seemingly mundane lives we live, and how we get to know and live with other people. I feel that's what makes BA different... it's the little things in life that make us happy to live each day, not some sudden enlightenment or the end of troubles! (P.S. Hifumi feels like a self-aware love letter to all the slice-of-life protagonists in anime - she knows that she's normal, and she knows that she isn't particularly strong or menacing or powerful, but she also knows that she wants to care for her friends and *that* is the optimism that gets her through, which is really sweet =w=)
You could listen this music on main menu without spending any pyro tho (if you only care about the music), Hasumi have this music as her L2D BGM.

"Luminous Memory" from the "Blue Archive" OST, composed by Mitsukiyo, captures a rich tapestry of emotions and thematic elements that resonate deeply with the game's narrative and characters. At its core, the track embodies a profound sense of nostalgia. The title itself, "Luminous Memory," suggests a vivid, almost glowing recollection of the past-those bright moments that stand out and remain etched in one's mind. This ties closely to the game's storyline, where characters often reflect on their past experiences and how these memories influence their current lives and relationships. The music's structure is crafted to take listeners on an emotional journey. It starts with gentle, reflective notes that evoke a sense of introspection and contemplation. This initial softness can be seen as a representation of looking back on past events with a tender, almost melancholic feeling. As the composition progresses, it builds up to more intense and uplifting sections. This crescendo symbolizes overcoming adversity and finding light even in the darkest times. The transition from soft, reflective melodies to powerful, uplifting crescendos mirrors the characters' emotional arcs in "Blue Archive." They face numerous challenges but draw strength and resilience from their treasured memories. Moreover, the luminous aspect of the memory isn't just about the past. It also signifies hope and the positive influence of these memories on the present and future. It's as if the memories are a guiding light, providing characters with the motivation and courage to move forward despite the obstacles they encounter. This theme of hope and resilience is a central element of the track, resonating with anyone who has ever found solace and strength in their past experiences. Fans of the game and the soundtrack often discuss how "Luminous Memory" encapsulates these feelings and themes so effectively. The emotional depth of the composition, combined with its beautiful and intricate melodies, makes it a standout piece that not only enhances the gaming experience but also connects with listeners on a personal level.
