We already know she is fascinated by her own tail -- she is still chasing it. A constantly-moving tail like Maru's is irresistible to the scrap. She can already jump to the couch, which she could not a few days ago. Won't be long till she can jump on to the cat scratcher and land on Maru's tail! And what guts to try for the swing at her size -- she so nearly made it, too! And Maru getting on it was just showing off. It was funny that when Maru decided to dismount, via the cat-scratcher, he did not do any better than Miri had going the other way! That last look was totally, "What has this world come to?"

Females have to protect their territory. They are hardwired to reproduce, and another cat means less food for her kittens. Boys are MUCH more laid back, since they have larger territories, and can move around as needed. They also need to be on good terms with all the girls in their range.
