Great info guys. We don't seem to have as many large Burbot in NH as we did during the 80's. 3 lbs is average. They are still fun to target and they taste great in a fish chowder.

I went with a buddy out ice fishing on Mill Lacs (we live in Iowa). He caught his very first pout after dark. I told him to be careful handling it...he got very paranoid-I may have told him they shoot ink out their tails

Great video. It’s cool to hear how things are in other places. I’m going to be fishing for Burbot in a tournament at the end of the month in Utah/Wyoming. In Utah and Wyoming we are required to kill them if we catch them because of how destructive they have been and continue to be. I’m super excited.
