Thanks a lot for this review. Regarding the „I have seen this before“: if you release 30+ patterns every month for 70+ years, I think it is impossible to have no repeats. It’s just my opinion, maybe I’m wrong. What I do see is that Burda tries to change and be better.

I totally agree! I like this issue, even the best of , they remind me of patterns I liked in the past. And, there are new patterns that I love!

There is a thing about "repeating pattern" things that are released few years ago there are always new people to sewing that have never seen those "old" patterns, so to whom are complaining, just don't buy the new issue and let the other ones enjoy discovering "old" patterns as new ones ❤️ I love Burda ❤️

I like the Best Of section, maybe because i am a relatively recent sewer. Those patterns are enough for me as they are. But i figure to make the section more exciting for loyal Burda subscribers, they could add ‘ways of modifying’ the patterns. Perhaps ideas on adding laces, design lines, tabs, plackets, tucks, or even ideas to hem the garment differently..

Yes, if they did just a bit of work on the repeats, it would have been totally acceptable.

Starting with the low: the knit sweater and pants combo you like so much - me too, I love it- was out last year. If they are already reprinting one-year-old patterns it is just really bad because they must have run out of patterns to repeat😅😅. That being said, I like the collection of best of they put together. Now to the highs: I totally agree with you on this issue. Really nice patterns on the whole. I like the Blue&Black article very much- the cover dress I love, the blue one as well, the blue panel skirtt, the black shirt, well, everything really. The hippie article has some nice clothes and the red ones are special.I love the dresses, the blouse, the sweatshirt and the coat is to die for, as is the designer blazer. Loved them. I don’t think there’s a best of preview, maybe they decided to stop with this bad joke?Dare one to hope?😂😂😂😂😂😂. But thanks for the review, I always look forward to it.

Yes, printing best off pattern from such recent issues makes it even worse! I wonder why they don´t did further in their "vault" !! I know I have things on my list from 20 years ago and even older !! :)) man, I feel old !!:)) I agree , there are some very very nice patterns in this issue, very happy with it!

I think this will be the second magazine this year that I'll buy, mostly for the red coat. The best of, I already have most of them, I don't mind repeated patterns, but they're repeating patterns from not so long ago!All in all, I'll buy it for the coat, but for someone who hasn't got a stack of Burda's already, that would be a very nice selection of patterns.

Hi, i agree that it must be difficult to come up with new patterns after so many years, i like their classic designs that will last for many years, rather than the strange additions you sometime see. i think i will buy this magazine, i like the raincoat pattern, i have a dog so do walk in the rain😊 i also like the bow blouse, and the pintuck dress, but wouldn't add that bow. Techno strerch i think is also known as scuba😊

I like the faux leather blouse, "the best of" grey dress. I also like the grey suit but don't think I'm a good enough seamstress to make that work. Thanks for posting!

I will say, make a test garment, you can learn on that doing all the things you are unsure of! xx
