I've pulled four feet long burdock roots, thicker then big carrots. We get them in the cattle summer pasture. I've been letting them eat the roots for years, and didn't realize how good they are medicinally. The soil there is sandy and gravelly; I have to pull them because the burrs get onto the cattle and they refused to let you touch them, never mind brush them. The cows will go through a fence to eat those roots so there must be something they love in them (I learned that the hard way when I left about two dozen pilled up).

Oh wow!!! I wonder what the cows crave in the Burdock???? Yes I'm definitely planning to harvest mine this year before they start to get the burrs, Neither of my cats would let me get the burrs off of them!

@@GQUATTRADITIONZS nah don’t bother planting it to try and dig it up, I can just send you some dried when I harvest it next year from my straw bale garden (no digging!!!!)
