thanks! :) yeah the NYX looks interesting, the videos i have heard sound great. I had a dreadbox erebus, but sold that to fund some modular gear, sort of miss it already :)

I cannot resist the siren call of the MS-20 mini any more. I keep trying to coax sounds like that from my other synths and they just can't. Every video in which you use it just makes it sing in my dreams.

Big thanks!! really appreciate the input! A great to hear you are diving more into synthesis, it is one of the best things you can do :D cheers !

This is just fantastic! It's great that you go into almost as much detail with the effects as with the main sound, which are just as important in this example. You are also right about the added noise, I will definitely try that, too. Luckily I have recently bought the X4 looper, so I could replicate everything you did here… that will be fun! And yes, it's very unfortunate how long a good video production takes, which is why I have virtually stopped doing that at all. A shame! Hope to see more like this from you, whenever you come around to do that ;)
@BURG7 жыл бұрын
Big thanks! :) The X4 seems really cool, and you should be able to create more complex loops with it which is great. :) well see how this pans out in the future, it is great fun recording.. just need to figure out the editing part, haha, cheers !

I asked for this few months ago... Thank you so much for doing this, Olli... Your sound is fairly distorted and almost overdriven... Along with the musicianship, that's what attracted me in the first place to your music since I'm basically a metalhead : it's "fat" without the excessive agression of high gain amps (I'm getting old :))... Is rock and metal a part of your musical background though ? Looking forward for other videos in this series, and especially for one featuring the little Volca machines that sound huge in your hands...
@BURG7 жыл бұрын
Big thanks, glad you liked it. Future will tell if there will be more, its all about finding the time :D And on the FAT note, yeah.. that is what i love, it needs to be massive but with control, this is one of the reasons why i like the ms-20 so much as it provides just that. :) cheers and thanks!!

I bought an MS20 Mini and although a great synth, my ability is terribly sub-standard. I'll stick to guitar and enjoy listening to those who are true keyboardists. I can get some awesome sounds, but can't play worth a dime.
@BURG7 жыл бұрын
it is a lovely synth indeed, each to their own instrument agreed. :D i love them both, but synths are a bit closer to my heart, and always will be :) cheers and jam on!
