AI’s are still very dumb and they only pick up what you teach them/ what information is available so it’s just showing us what we show it. It is more likely that Humans will be the cause of existential destruction. In Yogic belief it is said we’ve come and destroyed ourselves 83 times over already and I’m inclined to believe that considering what humanity is doing to itself now. No doubt there could be a foreseeable future in which AI is used as a tool of destruction, but humans will be the cause.
