Burger Motorsports JB1 Dyno Results! - MK7 Golf R - AutoInstruct

Damn! they downtuned Australia golf R to basically the same WHP as my USA MK7 GTI performance pack (225WHP on mustang Dyno & 260WHP with jb1 stock map). You really need downpipe and legit stage 2 tune to circumvent that downtune, assuming tunes are common for AU models = monster gains!!

Hey Marc, you'll find the car is only detuned by ~10kw due to our 'Hot Climate' - The rest just comes down to different dyno brands and standards in Australia. Cheers!

Did you guys remove the JB1 and power run the stock car again in the same gear? That probably explains the low numbers from the last video.

No we didn't however it shouldn't have made too much of a difference, the stock run in 5th was not affected by the AFR issue as the engine was not running as hard.

john quinn Hey! Yes it's perfectly safe to use as this condition occurred on the dyno where there was not enough cool air being pushed into the radiator. In the real word the car has much more airflow keeping the engine cool. Secondly, that LCD screen would be a P3 cars vent gauge - www.autoinstruct.com.au/product/mk7-golf-r-p3-obd-vent-gauge/

not getting how your R is producing only 156kw stock when they are indicated with 221kw..... please explain!

SThm It's because the manufacture is claiming flywheel kilowatts (206kw for the Australian model) and we are measuring wheel kilowatts - see here: www.motorsport-developments.co.uk/Why_Use_Power_At_The_Wheels.html
